Number for number, sure, if it’s actually available at that price.
The problem is that Intel’s drivers sucked in the past, so they definitely have to prove themselves with this launch. I definitely wouldn’t be buying it release day if I needed a GPU.
If you own track mania nations forever on steam, you will be unable to run it on a modern OS. You can install mods to make it work but the game is still for sale and if you’re unaware the mod exists, you’ll never be able to play it again
You should look into hacking your switch. If you can’t do it the easy way, there’s another way that’s not for the faint of heart, but I did it and have never spent a dollar more on games since.
I did my v2 and “accessible to diy” is, while true, overselling it. It’s accessible to people who already have extensive experience with soldering, though I suspect you could learn to do the specifics you need in a few days.
How come there are so few racing games coming out lately? Feels like it’s just codemasters doing their thing, some struggling indie games and a truckload of shovelware. I’m not saying it’s dead but wasn’t racing games one of the primary genres?...
It feels like new games are just more of the same, with no real meaning. However I recently started playing “Return of the Obra Dihn” and love open ended deduction in it. It feels like I’m actually figuring things out by myself without being handheld through it. Are there any other games that don’t coddle the player that...
This is done all the time to sell games that aren’t available as CD keys, against TOS.
The seller usually gives you a login to a webmail they control, and the account is tied to that email. You can then change the email on the account and you have access to the original email to confirm the move.
Game servers are incredibly expensive, and server side anticheat is more costs.
Whether or not the studios can afford it (they can.) is irrelevant, it’s simply cheaper to go for flawed client side because the client will do most of the processing.
Any software developer worth their salt simply does not trust the client, but management is gonna manage and the engineers have to come up with a solution to “we must have anticheat because we said so, and you must keep server costs per user below x”. It’s easy to forget that most implementation choices in video games aren’t made by developers who like games, they’re made by middle managers who view games as a money-generaring industry.
At CES 2024 MSI launched the Claw, an Intel Core Ultra based gaming handheld device and Adam was on hand to compare it against the Valve Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally.
The steam deck can drain that fast (for example when I played H:zd I basically had to be plugged in the whole time) but I doubt you’d even hit the same performance per watt with an Intel part. You’re essentially paying 20% more for a worse product, and I’m not even gonna get into MSI support, especially given how nice valve support is.
Ah, it recently announced a $48,000 spaceship bundle, the latest in an ongoing line, which contains every ship in the game and is apparently only accessible to those who’ve already spent $1,000…
Yes (since the latest DLC), yes (the thargoids mystery), and yes (carriers have been here for a few years).
Of course it’s not exactly what you would get in SC because they’re ultimately different games. But you do have all of that and more, E:D has massively improved since it came out.
Alot of the time I’ll be playing will be in-between calls at work so being able to pause any time is important. The only one I’ve played is god of war but I never finished it .
horizon zero dawn i finished recently on my steam deck while travelling, it’s great and you basically can pause at any time except in cutscenes, which is a bit annoying when something comes up during important story points.
bioshock i guess is not really my cup of tea, but i didn’t find that i was able to put it down and pick it back up. the game overall is quite slow, and all the branching paths means you can easily waste a lot of time.
The extreme is already a hard sell over the deck. It is barely more powerful for much larger price, and it is considerably less frame-time consistent than the deck. Buying anything less powerful is a waste.
It's common practice for PC games today to launch with Denuvo, a form of DRM designed to stop the spread of pirated copies of games, and it's also common practice for developers to remove Denuvo several months after launch as interest (and the risk of piracy) dwindles. Less common is a developer publicly announcing it's removing...
It is basically impossible to be banned at all from playing payday 2. The worst you can do is equip invalid stuff, which marks you as a cheater and most people kick marked cheaters.
Tbh, a large part of payday2’s problems stem from being built on a racing game engine. Redoing pd2 on unreal straight would be of course a lot of work, but the end result would be a better product that I would pay for. Payday3 on the other hand doesn’t look like something that I would enjoy based on the fact unlike pd2.
Rutracker is very specific in what emails it allows. Emails on my custom domain were already banned, I think they have a whitelist of email domains. I just ended up using my Gmail address, but yeah if you have a protonmail or own domain address I’m guessing you won’t have much success. You also might need to click the email validation link that ends up in spam.
