I need some suggestions on what to play. Single Player games only. Most of the games make me feel lonely and alone. In most of the games, the protagonist has to deal with the problems on their own, like Control, Crysis, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War (I liked the original 6 more than the new ones, even though the new ones had...
I like a lot of singleplayer games, but I also play games that can be played multiplayer (open world survival crafting games).
Borderlands is pretty good imo. You can play alone, but you never really feel alone with all the characters constantly asking you to do stuff for them.
Someone else said Kenshi, which is strictly singleplayer but you can build up your party and have multiple squads running around, taking care of things. And there are generated conversations between them. And there’s tons of mods that can change or add things to the game; personally I’ve added a couple new subraces to the vanilla ones, a couple new whole races of characters to play with, new building and weapon types and such.
Edit: Untitled Goose Game and Thank Goodness You’re Here, or even any cozy game really.
The new Star Wars: Jedi games like Fallen Order and Survivor are great singleplayer games without making you feel alone. Mostly cause of BD-1.
Today’s game is Slime Rancher. I just came home from a concert, and i was wiped. So i decided to take things easy and just play around in my Slime Rancher Save....
If I remember correctly, there’s an upgrade you can put on the pens for like a music box or something to “calm” them down.
Otherwise, I think I just merged the quantum’s with saber slimes and put them in their own pen and area off to the side with chicken coops so they wouldn’t wander too far when they got hungry. Just make sure to keep their food stocked and they’ll be fine.
I want to play an easy shooter where you feel like you’re in a flow state aiming at targets, the only time I’ve ever felt like that was in the PS2 Medal of Honour, kneecap, helmet shot, head shot or up till MW4 original....
I’ve been replaying Borderlands 3, so honestly I’d recommend any of those games for a cozy shooter. The stories don’t take themselves too seriously, if you die you can just respawn immediately in the vicinity, and it can be pretty relaxing to just mow down waves of bandits or whatever other enemies.
You know what I liked? That Guy Ritchie King Arthur movie with Charlie Hunnam and Jude Law, where Arthur is raised as a street orphan thug who kind of creates his own little criminal empire.
I’m really frustrated with how almost every new game these days is being forced into this “live service” model. It seems like no matter what type of game you want to play—whether it’s an RPG, shooter, or even something traditionally single-player—you’re stuck with always-online requirements. And for what? It adds...
I love Zomboid. I probably have too many mods, though. I played for a while just the other night and added a couple more mods, then I had invisible cars all over the place.
At least Starfield has pretty screenshots to look at during the loading screens. And if you use photo mode, it’ll shuffle your pictures in with the default ones.
Sea of Thieves is honestly great. There have been many times where I’ve been on the way to an objective and I’ll find random loot floating in the water, or something skinny catches my eyes on a passing beach, or I’ll get attacked by a pirate ship or even a megalodon.
Wow, this is awful. Some people reported that these ads are also very petty and not necessarily related to the game, like apparently Elden Ring shows an ad for a licensed mousepad when you hover over the game now…...
Today’s game is New Vegas, and it also marks the end of New Vegas for me. For the screenshot I originally considered doing my ending slideshow, but I thought that might 1) contain too many spoilers (though I doubt there’s many people that haven’t played it) and 2) make for too long of a post as I got almost all the slides....
The real Mojave is actually very tan, with some yellow and orange bits from the other sands and rock formations. The sky is never the same color as the ground.
I don’t know why you got downvoted, because you answered the question. I don’t know if they’re planning on making any DLC, but as it is right now I’ve played for about 6 hours and just made it past the mall. This is all still in the first chapter, for those who didn’t know.
Who the hell finds it fun to either waste time trying to lure them into a trap or chase them down? And it’s so much worse against ai because they don’t need to micro manage the way humans have to so it seems whenever I use them they get wrecked under the first half assed volly from any unit. This applies to literally any...
Today’s game is the very First Lego Batman. I’m taking a break from Fallout New Vegas so I don’t speed through the whole thing and decided to relax after a 5 Hour Coding Marathon for a class with this....
Probably the best cozy game that I’ve played in recent times has been Thank Goodness You’re Here. It’s an incredibly quirky and zany romp through a northern British town full of lively characters and great visuals. The soundtrack is honestly probably one of the best OSTs around in recent years, too. Your only controls are movement, jumping, and slapping things to interact with them.
The entire game can be finished in about 3-ish hours depending on how often you stop to just interact with the world. I honestly can’t recommend the game enough, and I’m not even English.
I feel like Paleo Pines is a decent mix of Animal Crossing and Stardew, with just a tiny bit of ARK thrown in (Dino taming). The art style is honestly so freaking adorable and I can’t get enough of the dino buddies and all their little noises. I think the dev team might all be women, but I’m not 100% on that.
There’s a demo on steam that lets you play through the first three weeks, and you can save and continue, and your progress will transfer to the full game if you decide to get it.
They seem to be very caught off guard by Star Wars: Outlaws’ underperformance, and after investor pressure, are trying to massively course correct. This is what happens when you vote with your dollars!
I mean cancelling preview copies of Space Marine 2 seemed to work out. They got to finish cooking and it paid off for them in the end with everyone’s minds being blown (I haven’t played it yet myself, but I’ve seen reviews).
Taste is always subjective. I watched Charlie play it on YouTube, and he played the whole thing with mouse and keyboard and he fucking loved it. Like he was literally about jump balls deep into the tabletop and mini aspect of the IP.
Also, “pandering to LGBTQ”? A) it’s 40K, which aside from aesthetics is one of the least sexual franchises of all time. B) fuck off with that shit.
I mean I will say that apparently Concord has the characters’ preferred pronouns under their name in the top corner of the screen, but I literally had no idea that was even a thing until I saw someone make a post bitching about specifically that. Like even Charlie didn’t notice (or didn’t say anything) either time he played the game.
This is my 5th most played game on Steam, mostly because I’ve played through the campaign solo once, then replayed it with a friend, then re-replayed with another friend. Plus, after the campaign is over, there are daily missions you can complete that change every day, so it’s not like you run out of things to do in-game....
I only ever played Wildlands, but I had always wanted to play that in a group of people and see if we could take out multiple targets at once, from across the map.
Like say we all spawn near each other, then we each take a different vehicle to a different target in the map and kill them. I wonder if it would work, or if there’s a max distance you can be from the host or whatever.
I remember playing Legacy of Kain: Defiance for the first time when I was a kid.
I spent actual hours coming through the damn mansion level looking for the proper route and I was so frustrated. I finally broke down and looked it up on the computer (which I was grounded from at the time) so I could see if I could find a solution.
I got the impression they won’t like either of those based on the post. Which is a shame because they’re great. You can spend a night with a couple friends going through pretty much any of the Halo games, and with the Master Chief Collection you can turn on skulls and such and have access to all the great Halos in one.
As someone who’s never played any Yakuza game, what even is this series? Are you not playing as a Japanese gangster or something? Why are you now an actual pirate?
Hi guys, I have the hunger for more history games. I have to say that usually I’m not a huge AC fan, but last summer I played Odyssey and I’m a huge ancient history nerd and I think that the game and the period were represented very well. (The Story was kinda meh, but serviceable). What other AC game would you recommend for...
I kinda liked Syndicate. It looked and felt kind of cartoony in a lot of ways, but I actually liked the dynamic Evie and Jacob had. And the combat for the brawling actually looked pretty badass imo too.
The whole “using a whole train as your base” was kinda weird though.
