Don’t let the two-sentence review in the article fool you. It’s basically exactly like JSRF (which was also a huge game in my childhood), and then some. The music has all the same vibes, the movesets and tricks are awesome, the vibrant colorful world reminds me of Tokyo-to to a T.
Do you and your childhood self a favor and check it out!
I haven’t played in a couple years. Are you still bombarded with texts and phone calls as soon as you load into the game? And is theininap barely visible because of all the mission/activity markers?
Because that’s how it was last time I got on there. And that was right after they added the demolition derby stuff.
Just like the Mario movie? Cause as kinda fun-ish as it was, it was still pretty cringe when they had literally all the references to the Mario tropes. The fuckin koopa even just yells out “BLUE SHELL” before he goes into it.
Team Reptile didn’t have a release date for Bomb Rush Cyberfunk until they knew when they wanted to release it. No one knew when it would come out until the release date trailer, about a month before it actually released.

I’m almost done with my current playthrough of GTA4, started a new modded game of Skyrim so I can bash people around with two-handed weapons, been diving back into Exanima and I’ve been trying out the Half Sword demo as well.
I really want to sink my teeth into Tainted Grail, but it’s still EA and my current save doesn’t work.
Just to add onto your question: anyone here play the early access preview of that Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon game? Because I think it looks awesome. It looks to me like what Hellraid could have been (the dark fantasy first-persom dungeon crawling RPG from Techland, who ended up stopping development on that and made the Dying Light games instead).
No one’s mentioned it here, and I just got it last night because it looked pretty damn cool, and it is actually: Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon.
It’s kinda like a cheap Elder Scrolls game mixed with a tiny bit of Souls-Like (you have a stamina bar and a dodge-dash move), but it works. It’s in early access, with the first chapter of the story out now. The devs say it’s about 15-20 hours worth of content so far, and I’ve only put in a few myself.
I haven’t really gotten into the main story myself, but it’s based on Arthurian Legend/the Tainted Grail tabletop series. It’s kinda like a gothic Oblivion mixed with the Witcher.
Tbh I mostly checked it out because it seemed to have a pretty sweet magic system, which lately I’ve been really in the mood for a game with a good magic system.
This is hilarious to me for some reason. Like, goddamn Whoopi Goldberg loves Diablo so much (and on a Mac no less) that she went and called them out on a public tiktok?
I haven’t seen anyone mention Kenshi, so I guess I will.
Kenshi is a post-apocalyptic, RPG, RTS, city-builder hybrid. You can play as one individual character, or you can build up a squad to roam an entire continent full of towns, people, and everything else that wants nothing more than to push your face into the dirt and watch you squirm. It’s an intensely brutal game, but one with an aesthetic that I can’t get enough of.
There are different races of playable characters (from humans, to hivers, to shek, and skeletons) all with their own different stat bonuses and handicaps. If you lose a limb, you can either find someone who sells prosthetics or just leave that character crippled for the rest of the game.
There’s kind of a story, but the game is mostly just you existing in this world and learning about it. There are plenty of different factions you can join or help out, and there will be consequences for choosing a side.
It’s also incredibly moddable, with the steam workshop having thousands of mods already.
Can anyone explain what voodoo magic Bethesda used to make Starfield, a game that usually runs below 30fps on my pc, feel like it’s running above that? I mean, not even Nintendo on their own console has achieved this feat.
If you’ve played all the mainline Bethesda games until now, I’m pretty sure you’re not gonna be worried that this will flop. I haven’t played it yet myself, but I’m only seeing great things about the game so far.
I paid full price for Jedi Survivor, and minus a couple (somewhat big) bugs, I feel like I got my money’s worth after I finished the story. I think it took me around 60-ish hours to get to 99%
