The cutscenes hurt my eyes with the frame rate but the gameplay looks alright.
Honestly not fan of the the way some 3d animations animate with 2s/3s to create fake stop motion videos. It’s even worse when they try to make it look like a cartoon/anime and completely forget to add any smear frames that make the these animations look a lot smoother than they actually are. For me these look like characters constantly warping around instead of moving which hurst my eyes, luckily it seems to only affect the characters and not the movement camera.
The gameplay looks alright but very unoriginal, there’s seems to be this basic combat with dodging, light and heavy strikes and then these fly using streams of wind/magic/energy and energy hook-shot to get you exactly where developers want you to go. Maybe the theme, story and visuals will be enough to make this shine above the competition.
Perfect Dark revolutionized the multi-player experience, and had an equally awesome campaign. The 360 game was good, but nothing amazing. Really hoping this turns out to be amazing. I have faith that it will!

Perfect Dark was a great game, but the multiplayer was a copy/paste of the game whose engine it was built in, no?
Right, but… It totally revolutionized a thing that already existed by applying incremental improvements?
Oh, cooperative campaign would be very substantial, wouldn’t it? And you could play as her sister.
Perfect Dark introduced bots and a host of other customizable options that Golden Eye did not have. Golden Eye created the framework, and Perfect Dark improved on it in every possible way.
When I was a little kid, like could barely play video games, this game scared me so bad I couldn’t even continue. I’d just stay put and have fun killing g my team before they killed me.
Weird. As a die-hard collectathon lover I thought the game was “ok”. I played it after all the patches. Some challenges were ridiculous and unfun, worlds felt empty and too big at times. Controls were okay. Still fun to explore the worlda and find challenges.

Especially like the addition of the map and the new collectable. We’ll see if the updated challenges get rid of/fix the terrible ones.
I’m optimistic, Yooka Laylee and the impossible lair was a very nice platformer so I would hope with more experience and budget they can make the original game much better. Still weird that they’re opting for a remake and not a sequel though.
