That’s a shame. Awesomenauts was very fun back in the day.

sugar_in_your_tea, do games w Weaker subscription deals have hit indie publishers, says analyst

Ok, so make good games and sell them for what they’re worth. I don’t see why they need subscriptions to stay in business.

I have never played an AC game before, is it fun combat mechanics?

Gullible,

Story’s fantastic, game mechanics are great, movement feels nice. Avoid if you get motion sickness.

memerifficguitarguy,

Thank you!

Hell yeah. Never played AC before as well–picked this one up on launch day and have been having an absolute blast. It’s FromSoft, so it kicks your teeth in a little bit, but once you get the hang of the combat system and make sense of the info on your screen it’s a ton of fun. If you like the dark souls style of combat (heavy emphasis on dodge-and-punish, demands near-perfect execution), you’ll like AC.

prole,

It’s fucking fantastic. The movement feels great, and combat makes you feel like a god sometimes with the shit you pull off. The game is a ton of fun.

It’s a compromise between the classic AC games that were a bit more mech-y and a Soulslike (note that even the classic games were very fast-paced, we’re not talking about Mechwarrior here). Some people call it “Sekirobot” because it’s moved away from a few of the mech-y aspects and is more about high-speed soulslike combat but with a rocket-pack, guns, and homing-missiles.

Personally I’m enjoying the hell out of it.

BURN, do games w Motorsport Games employees win unpaid wages lawsuit

This company has been such a shitshow for the last few years. They’ve got exclusive licenses for the ACO (Le Mans) and Indycar as well as most of the rights for NASCAR and are just sitting on them not releasing anything.

Unsurprising the devs weren’t getting paid. The company is only still around because of an infusion of cash from a sucker investor last year.

atmur,

They also own Studio 397 and rFactor 2, which has had its fair share of shitshows as well (before and after the acquisition).

Starayo, do games w New report suggests third-party Switch 2 game sales are "below estimates"

I mean, main reason I got mine was to play the games I couldn’t stomach at switch 1 performance. Until duskbloods comes out, anyway.

Also, since I had a first gen switch 1, I was finally able to hack it without worrying about losing online functionality, so now it’s a nice emulation handheld.

capuccino, (edited ) do games w New report claims gamers spend more time watching videos about gaming than playing games
@capuccino@lemmy.world avatar

It’s like people who watches sports but don’t do any.

Edit: Well. after a few minutes of reflection, I wanna contribute with my two cents and say that it’s pretty common to do this kind of thing of watch videos instead of playing games, but it is done under very specific circumstances, like, I am a SFIII 3rd Strike player and I have a job to, so, I can’t be playing all the day. Competitive players need to be being in contact with the game that they wanna master to not get rusty faster, so watch videos is a way of getting that contact, view plays and movements and get that in your head till the moment you got a fightstick in your hands to be able to put in practice all those toughs

plumbus, do games w Who is subscribing to Game Pass, PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, and why?

I did the „convert 3 years of prepaid Xbox Gold into Game Pass Ultimate“ trick. That way I paid 100€ (3x33€ for Gold+ 1€ to convert to GP) flat for three years of Game Pass, which is an incredible deal.

I don’t know what I will do when the prepaid time runs out. I’m enjoying the content, but before I was quite happy with heavily discounted games. I don’t need to play on day one.

Jimmycakes, do games w Who is subscribing to Game Pass, PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, and why?

Gamepass because I don’t even own an Xbox. I pay $15/ month for wow so having game pass with a shitload of games for basically the same price is a no brainer

B0NK3RS, do games w Who is subscribing to Game Pass, PS Plus and Nintendo Switch Online, and why?
@B0NK3RS@lemmy.world avatar

I have barely any subscriptions for anything anymore and once Gamepass expires (I did the £1 upgrade offer) I will not renew.

I just chop and change to whatever I want for the month but overall I don’t really use many paid services anymore.
