I think I have an inordinate amount of nostalgia for Metal Arms: Glitch in the System and 007: Agent Under Fire. Both are locked to consoles. The campaign and multiplayer of Metal Arms are all-timers, and while the campaign is fairly basic for Agent Under Fire, the multiplayer, especially with all of the modifiers turned on, is some of my favorite FPS multiplayer ever.
I’d also like a PC version of Soul Calibur II with rollback, please, Bandai-Namco. I don’t care if the series stops there; this is really all I want or need from this franchise. Especially if you can just reskin Link and put his functionality in the game alongside Heihachi and Spawn.
My system isn't even that old (maybe 4 years) and the first few times I got that very annoying popup that I should try to upgrade it told me in vague terms that I couldn't. So be it, everything runs fine now. I have backups of everything, so if WIn10 doesn't continue to work as simply unsupported one day I'll look for ways to "fix" it like someone mentioned with a 3rd party, or go to Linux and adapt to it. Anyone who has ever had a drive failure knows that the solution is to use a recovery USB which will be a portable Linux, so it will be just another version of that.
Crush, puzzle/platformer only released on PSP and 3ds. It had decent reviews but I guess it didn’t make enough money to get any ports. One of my favorites from the PSP along with Joan d’Arc and persona 3.
It’s fun but doesn’t quite scratch the itch. It’s a lot more arcade-y and simpler than War of the Monsters. Way smaller maps and less environmental interaction
Puyo Puyo Chronicle, the last good installment in the series, don't @ me. I'd like Sega to make a proper new game, but they're clearly never ever ever ever gonna do that, so the next best thing they could do is port a good one. What I need most is a game that's on all major platforms with crossplay.
I personally can’t wait. I have an OLED and MK8D but just didn’t play it enough due to life getting in the way. This has me beyond excited to play it. It’ll be nice to get into a game with my fiance from the start especially because she plays basically only animal crossing.
Maybe I’m in the minority here, but I really hate the new art style. Everything looks like plastic and has absolutely zero charm. It was totally possible for them to bring the same style and character of the original to 3D, but instead they chose to abandon it.
Also, I’m not sure what benefits going 3D has anyway. In the teaser it looked like a fixed camera, so what’s the point of 3D if it doesn’t change up the core gameplay?
Played a few hours of Last of Us 2 last night. Ran pretty well (80-100fps) on highest settings in native 1440p but with a 7900 XTX I can of course just brute force through it.
Surprisingly, the game ran flawlessly out of the box. Didn’t need to add the SteamDeck=1 variable like in the other newer Sony games.
Does not run with Proton-Tkg for some reason, so no HDR for now.
