No matter how many I may start, I always end up focusing on just one. I also find it difficult to get back into a game after I have stopped playing it for while, so these days I try to just start only one.
I played up to AC3 and then felt like I had my fill with the series. I haven’t played Black Flag, but I always hear that’s the best one. I think the collection aspects in each game kinda just burnt me out. I spent so much time on the first couple of games that by the time AC3 rolled around, I was very much done.
Some key elements I really enjoyed were the environmental detail, the cat and mouse gameplay, which was also fun. One element I quickly grew tired of was tailing stealth missions, where you had to slowly follow the target to the end of the mission area. At the start of the series it wasn’t super overdone, but boy did that get overdone in games since then haha.
I remember wanting them to go the whole ninjas route as it seemed like the obvious choice. So I’m kind of interested in trying the latest game at some point. I feel like we don’t really get ninja games anymore, so I’m hoping it’ll be good
My partner and I just finished Cyberpunk. Still addicted Balatro but taking breaks with the latest alpha of Automation to build stupid supercharged engines.
This is more arcadey, but I recommend giving Cave Story a go. The story is rich, the worlds deep. It’s a great game. It’s not the same genre, but for me, it has a similar vibe.
So many, depends on the booted OS and what I feel like or what the kids feel like playing.
Currently doing a mix of Quake 2 single player (100%ed it on nightmare but I keep coming back to it), Half-Life deathmatch (hilarious with the kids as we try to lay out traps for eachother), Reflex Arena, Planetside 2, Age of Empires 2, OpenRA, Fortnite (kids love it so I play along), Ion Fury, Fallout 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Last 3 are story modes, so they take long. Only Ion Fury is linear though, so it’s easier to come back to.
Is that board game multiplayer? I loved StS, I might be able to get my partner into a physical version.
We picked up Lorelei and the Laser Eyes last week and have been slowly working through it. Interestingly styled and it feels a bit abstract so far, but the puzzles are enjoyable to figure out! VERY glad the mc has a photographic(and menu to access) even if the controls could be better
Yes it is! It’s coop which was why I got it. My partner and I got into mtg a bit while visiting her family for the holidays and thought a coop deck builder would be a fun thing to have, and I love sts so it seemed like a no brainer. I will warn the game is quite expensive and sort of hard to find but if you can get your hands on it I highly highly recommend it!
I for instance ordered mine from a game store in Illinois even though I live in WA. I believe more reprints are coming through
Oh, maybe I’ll save it for a birthday gift then 😅 we’ve been playing a bunch of Clank! which is fun but the digital edition is super buggy in pass and play. Thanks for all the info!!
I barely played the AC games as they came out, but recently decided to give Unity a try. It’s a really stunning presentation much of the time, but I find myself setting the game aside quite regularly as the quests / missions can be rather dull. I should perhaps try to do better at picking what to do in the game, as the immersion can be compelling.
For a long time 3 was my favorite. But I started playing black flag and damn dat shit is good. I think I just didn’t like it back then because it was different from 2 and 3.
