I’ve got an unhealthy amount of hours and money (games, DLC) invested in various Paradox games because I once pirated EU3 on a whim.
My Steam Library now contains CK2 with most gameplay DLC, CK3 with most gameplay DLC, EU4 with all gameplay and content DLC, Stellaris with most gameplay/content DLC, HoI4 with most gameplay DLC, Sengoku, and other Paradox games that aren’t grand strategy like Magicka 1&2.
And both my hours in CK2 and EU4 are in the 4 digit realm, though admittedly that includes times where I played in bed, fell asleep and the respective game kept running.
Have about 200 hours of Valheim logged with my wife. I’m honestly feeling burned out, but she’s still into it, so I’m trying my best to remain interested. I love this game, but we’ve been playing of so much.
Don’t remember how far I got, maybe 2/3 of the biomes, then I burned out and got bored. That was a while back, and flattening the land was really glitchy. I’d have an area perfectly flattened and ready to commence building, save it all down, come back next day, and it’d all gone to shit again. I got sick of trying. It became more of a grind just to get back to my last save point than I wanted, and gave up on it.
This sounds like mindless bashing. No matter your intentions. Maybe form a more mature title for the post as a start?
Condemning an entire DLC on the grounds of a few bugs seems a bit like jumping to conclusions, too. Perhaps play the DLC through before you bemoan it for being “sucky” and judge it on the content rather than it’s superficial flaws, which i might add are rare and far between.
You come off as someone who’s angry they had to pay 30 bucks and go into the game expecting bad things.
Let go of your intentions and your preconceptions and just go into the game to get an experience.
Ummm, since we are being critical, I’m going to say that low effort bug reports get sent to the recycle bin on my dev team. Also, what’s up with the tone of your post? You sound like you hated Cyberpunk 2077 in general and so you felt the need to scream it from the rooftops.
I’ve played Phantom Liberty now for a couple days and I’ve never seen anything you’re reporting, so you’ll need to give more detail, like are you playing this on PC or Console, and which console? What are your settings? Also lose the bad attitude man, we are all here to have fun.
At least the “character getting ejected” bug can have a direct connection with framerate issues and the corresponding settings. Most of the other stuff you’ve mentioned can be impacted by localisation, subtitle and accessibility settings.
I was told at some point to pirate disco elysium because the original devs got removed from making royalties on any sales prior to the release of the game. Does anyone know if this is a credible statement?
Yea, basically what happened was some crooked businessman took over their company by some very fucked up methods, ousted the people who made the game and stole their IP. This is the most justified case of piracy is good.
Bear in mind, BG3 is more much like your typical cRPG while Disco Elysium is more akin to Planescape: Torment but without combat.
Both are extremely well-written, and I would say Disco Elysium is arguably one of the best written games period, but don’t go into DE expecting a whole lot of combat - it’s much more like a visual novel than a cRPG.
De sounds awesome I would love another well written game like rdr2 to sink my teeth into and get tons of hours out of and this sounds like that sorta game
I’m doing an evil playthrough now and finding various things I missed from the first playthrough. But oof, I feel really awful about the horrible things the game lets you do. 😅
You know you could also make a post about how much you like it, right? The world would not end. A post being on the gaming board doesn't mean it's the objective truth, it's a forum. Both of your posts could be up at the same time, even!
Also it's hilarious to go "at least it's not buggy like the game this expansion is literally for"
I cant remember last AAA game I played that required me to reload the game to get rid of bugs or getting stuck in my own vehicle,I don’t think it’s acceptable.
You realize that the 2.0 update that introduced all those new bugs is unrelated to the DLC right? Everyone got that update and those bugs regardless of whether they paid for the DLC.
