The mammoths and art style really are too much taken from Tabs for me to want to try this. It looks like copy that doesn’t offer any new or original ideas.
I feel like i see this a lot in indie games now (and some big name games too). The most common one i see is Stardew Valley. As happy as it makes me seeing someone try something new, it gets a bit tiring seeing 10 games every month that’s just “Stardew Valley but X”
I never played ArmA before Reforger, but coming from Squad it feels great. From my understanding of common gripes long time ArmA players have with Reforger, it’s a bit less milsim, so take that into account if you want to jump in.
The vanilla community doesn’t seem to be always onboard with milsiming or tactics in general, , but as far as the mechanics and capabilities of the game I think you can get miles closer to simulating than we have in Squad. I love reforger and would recommend it to anybody.
Definitely. I love the freedom ArmA gives. It allows to really engage with any objective as you see fit. The structure of a typical AAS or RAAS match in squad doesn’t really allow for that to happen.
The day before yesterday a buddy and I managed to round up 4 people to come with us to retake Cabin on a WCS server. W After that we went to Chotain. While the team took farm, we went on to take Laruns, then quarry while the team took Camurac, and then Penant’s . We went from losing Military Hospital to the enemy team struggling to even field helicopters to the western coast.
Haven’t ever gotten close to that in Squad. Though I will say that rounding up enough volunteers to do that is kind of hard.
Those are all awesome but for playing Pokémon specifically I had some fun playing ROM hacks as really good ones exist. Currently waiting for a good NDS hack as gen 4 games have been decompiled and progress is being made twords feature rich NDS hacks like we already have for GBA
Yeah, community-made Pokemon games really hit some heights in recent years. Too bad Nintendo is so opposed to the homebrew scene.
I had lots of fun with Pokémon Odyssey last year, patiently waiting for the final update that should come this year as well. As I said, 2025 is packed!

I remember there being some game on iPhone with a title like “Zombies, run!” where they somehow locked progress behind real-life running—that was the whole point of the game, to get you to work out in real life. I think it’d be cool if: if this game succeeds, if a spinoff or adaptation where your progress is locked behind real-world biking was released.
No, I mean a single game that is intended to be run while cycling, not the game + a separate cycling app. Think Pokémon GO but with this game and cycling instead of walking.
Between trains and large ships, I love the feeling of operating large vehicles with multiple rooms. Bonus points if one large vehicle can carry a smaller vehicle.
Examples: Sea of Thieves, Subnautica, many JRPGs with airships, even something like The Last Express.

Those are the same people that will buy a switch 2 and defend a $90 pride tag on a Mario kart game. I won’t buy a switch 2 for $450. That’s fucking insane. But the console will get scalped and people will still buy it for $800-$1200 for fomo reasons.
The console for $ 450 is not that insane (although it is somewhere PS4 power equal), the game prices and some other anti consumer practices are. I am playing in PC, and the only console i had the past 15 years was Switch. I did not know many games where dropped to $20 before Switch only to resale them at $60 after.
Many gamers had no problem with a $70 some years ago, buying the games and now its going up. Until they realize it, they will ask themselves why $120 games is the new norm in a few years.
Also charging $10 for playing the games you own in a new console that you bought, without almost no content, man consumers suck hard for accepting that.

From what I watched it is heavily biased against Nintendo and from someone who clearly isn’t the target audience.
My interest in Nintendo has been slowly slipping away since the early 00s and I wouldn’t even call myself a fan anymore but videos like these are worthless.
I don’t know. I never had a Nintendo before my Switch, so many things in the video were uknown to me.
Yes, maybe the criticism leans toward the hateful side, but Nintendo is pushing it too far with their tactics these days.
Life goes on, I suppose. It seems gaming has hit its developmental ceiling, and companies are scrambling to find new ways to milk the cow for every drop.
Nintendo aren’t the monster they are being played as.
I do think the price is too high for the console, games etc but they have always been slow to the party in many ways. That also means they create amazing stuff that the others cannot and have forged their own path. Don’t hate on them for that aspect.
Well joining the party of others is not good, when the others do shit, is it? This is not for framing Nintendo the devil and other console companies as angels.
Global console gaming is dominated by three major corporations, all now focused on expanding profit margins (with ‘margins’ being the keyword). Nintendo, with its strong loyal fanbase and historically stable pricing, is the easiest target to start another round of game price hikes.

I do wish it was shorter, 20 minutes where a lot of the topics are repeated throughout definitely could have been edited down a bit. The funniest part to me is that this may cost US folks $600 when the $450 price was already on the idk if i can justify buying this side.
Yeah it was a bit lengthy. That’s why i only watch youtube videos when i am cleaning the house or doing other stuff. Well when they are more like a podcast anyway.
Meh, I have only watched first 5 mins and video is too biased, and not all points are correct. Even some of the correct points are arguable whether they are actually as bad as it make them sound or not. Just seems like an anti-nintendo rant, which is fine, people have the right to rant.
