Alright hold on setting up my GOG dead man trigger. I wonder what info I need to include. So far I have an email going to support with the text “I AM DEAD”. I hope they don’t change address between now and when I die.
Is there a simple way to download the save files before they get wiped? I mean without downloading the game and sorting out where the saves are and such. Steam has a dedicated page for that: store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage (there is no download all link, but at least it’s straight forward)
But… AI is stupid. I mean it really is dumb. And on top of that, it’s just an amalgamation of things fed to it which in itself is nothing bad, but it limits itself massively when combining things.
Have any of the involved voice actors confirmed the claims made in the article? I’ve seen multiple articles on this game, and the only quotes are from the game’s director.
So far I’ve only seen one side claim this is ethical. That’s not enough.
Businesses think in quarters, seeing a cost centre through man hours is a huge no-no for boasting a healthy valuation. They use a model far more suited towards selling tangible products than something long term.
I wish that was actually the case but we all know marketing works like gang busters on gamers looking for their next fix. It it wasn’t they wouldn’t be hiring psychologists and paying them mid to high six figure starting salaries.
Eh I agree with the reasonable takes here. Nothing wrong with generating that sort of stuff until it starts resembling the likeliness of a real living person. Then I think it’s just creepy; especially if for some reason you are sharing it 💀
