Y’all haven’t experienced pain until you come across dogs in The Last of Us 2. The sounds the dogs make if you don’t kill them with a headshot are the worst part of the game and I’m not exaggerating. And then it’s owner will start wailing over its body. If you kill the human, the dog will start whimpering over its owners body. I played the pacifist on those levels cuz it was that bad.
Divinity 2: Original Sin is a wonderful game with an engaging combat system, great exploration, and an intriguing story with fun and memorable characters.
I never finished the prologue because the game forced me to fight the cute doggo. After telling me its name and asking me to find it.
You can’t save the dog. You can only convince it not to attack you, but (a) the dialogue doesn’t trigger if you progress too much before talking to it, (b) the dog and its pack turn hostile on you if you proceed with the game. The only option you have is basically to ignore them, and it’s too sad for me :(
I just got this exact one. I had to oil it up a bit because it was really stiff but now it works great. I ditched the huge sheath it came with and bought the og leather one on ebay. I wear it on my belt and it’s so compact that i hardly notice that it’s there.
9/10: would buy again but I’ll probably never have to.
I had the same problem. The oxide makes it gritty and stiff so I also added oil. Luckily, just by using it over time most of the moving parts are smooth. I agree that I’d probably also buy it again. It fits my main needs perfectly.
The biggest reason was form factor then price. I wanted something that could fit my pocket comfortably. I already have a dedicated pocket knife and screw driver so while it would be nice to have better options those weren’t too much of a concern.
Classic or retail? Or SOD? To be honest right now is great time to get back into WoW. Multiple ways to play the game and the new xpac is actually pretty fun!
I did play a bit of classic during the break, I’m giving retail an honest go now. I did hear good things about the current X-Pac but also saw the blizzcon extracts and seems they are starting to cater more to folks like me who might not be able to play all the time. I’m also harbouring some hope they bring a port to Xbox after the Microsoft acquisition which would be great for me to be able to put more time in.
First impressions are good, I’m SHOCKED by all the quality of life stuff, and the levelling is soooo fast! Feels great but definitely a bit confusing, I quit in warlords so a lot has changed.
The leveling is a lot of fun. And running dungeons with the scaling. You can play some seriously OP classes that scale really well. I also really enjoy the new dragon mounts. They feel like guild wars flying if youve ever used those before. But yes taking away from the need to play every single day and you can hop in and out of some decent content without a crazy time sink is really nice. Im impressed! Since the last few xpacs have been pretty meh in my opinion.
I literally only played this afternoon and got my main from 35 to 59, for an old player like me that’s insane, on classic I played countless hours and never managed to catch up to max level. Not gonna lie, it’s working, I’m excited for end game and it feels like this might be an actual return. Haven’t tried the new dragon mounts I guess that’s something for when I hit 70. I’m definitely buying the war within now with the included dragon flight X-Pac (so far I only restarted the sub). I don’t know if it would work since I’m on EU servers but if you want to play soon, I’m down!
Im on NA servers but with the ease of leveling im sure i could level a character fast haha. Also cross realm is a thing too but im also not sure how that works. I agree though i feel like they really have been able to grab me with the gameplay. Its refreshing compared to how the dailies and stuff used to work. Classic too.
I finished it yesterday. Played through the ending twice, and was planning to do it more but the second ending was so perfect and imperfect at the same time, that it just felt like it was the ending I wanted.
Picked up Sonic All Stars Racing on the Deck, and it’s super fun. Never heard about the game when it came out. It’s basically Mario Kart with Sega characters, but thats… really fun.
Glad it has released. Gave it a shot and realized why I put it down in the first place. It’s a slog to play. 90% of the time I am just waiting around for research to complete.
Yeah your “nuggets” do research which is how you progress basically. Research though is just straight up time gated with no way to increase the rate. Most research items take 5-13 minutes. At most you can cut that down by half by increasing game speed by 2x. I have played the whole game up until this point on this speed and it still feels like I need a 3x or even a 4x.
I mean I get it - research takes time, but at least dress up a little with like “science points” or something rather than just a straight up time limit.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Awesome, awesome game that I can’t put down. I started the series in 2020 and played through the whole thing that year, so all the references to the past games make it that much better.
I’ve been glued to BeamNG.drive, ever since I finally broke down and decided “it’s not gonna get much cheaper than this” during the Steam sale.
It’s exactly, precisely what I thought it would be. Half completely freeform “let’s crash cars and watch them crumple in slow motion” and half “let’s do these scenarios.” Flip back and forth between the two, and it’s suddenly “oh, SHIT, how did three hours go by already???”
I’ll get around to poking my nose into the modding scene, soon enough, too. I haven’t even touched that side of it, yet.
Also, the game apparently has VR support, which I didn’t realize until I bought it. I haven’t bothered trying that out, since I also don’t have my driving wheel set up, at the moment. Driving games with a controller are basically the only category of VR content that can give me the ol’ lunch-launch-itis.
