Edit: Also, Real-Debrid if you want to directly download any torrent instantly at your connection’s maximum bandwidth (up to 1Gbps) without having to wait for seeds. But this one costs money. (It’s worth it, though, especially if you’re downloading a lot of 50GB+ AAA games like I am.)
Simple, you replace your torrent client with it. Instead of opening a torrent file in QBittorrent or whatever, you go to the “torrents” section and paste the magnet link/open your torrent file there. Then select “convert” and then you can download the torrent directly from their servers. It’s kind of like a seedbox that everyone shares, so that you don’t have to wait for seeds so long as at least one person has added the file to Debrid before.
Recently ditched subscription services because of non-stop price hikes. Now I’m on Navidrome with a VPS and using Ultrasonic on my Android for mobile and Android Auto listening. For music, I turn to good old Soulseek and Telegram bots.
Never going back. The control and savings make it all worth it.
I know in previous posts, you’ve talked about leaderboards and comparing stats to friends. For those who might be embarrassed by their stats or who would be anxious comparing stats, is ir possible to hide these menus and/or play the game without them? In particular, is it possible to play with other social features still enabled?
I can’t find the reference, but isn’t Spotify the service which stole the lyrics from another site? And then the other site added morse code on some of them to catch them red handed?
IIRC correctly, Genius added white space to some of their lyrics so that when Google scraped them, they could prove they got it from their site since the scraped content also had the random white space.
How did Genius become certain of that discovery? By hiding a Morse code message within some of the lyrics on its own site, the code being a series of curly and straight apostrophes which, when assembled, correspond to the Morse code for the word “REDHANDED” (as in, Google has been caught red-handed). Sure enough, those apostrophes showed up in Google results. But here’s the thing, though. After confronting Google with that evidence as described in a lawsuit Genius filed today against the search giant (with Genius describing that evidence as Watermark #1), Genius then decided to hide a second secret code (Watermark #2) inside its lyrics to further prove the lyrics are being copied.
They used it to spell out “REDHANDED” in morse code using apostrophes too…

Hi! We have some problems with some email providers. Could you contact me and tell the email you tried to sign up with at contact@walkscape.app and I can see what’s going on
I’ve heard genuinely good things about the Guardians game. Ghostrunner is also quite fun for scratching that high-paced action in bursts, although I will say each level is a bit like a puzzle with semi-limited solutions, but it does feel really good when you complete a run.
Each is definitely of its genre though, if you’re a Civ/Factorio type I can see these not being for you, for example.
Sounds great! So I understand you skill up stuff by walking, I assume traveling through the world as well? The site mentions there is combat as well, how does that work?
Yes, travelling through the world is also done by walking irl. Though obviously the distances aren’t quite 1 to 1. Combat is not implemented yet but coming later. Current plans are that it will be a turn based system and will be what’s called “couch content”, something you can do at home from your couch without having to walk. But all subject to change still.
From my view: If I get a game called WalkScape I don’t want to play it actively. So if those things can only be progressed on the couch, I won’t touch them. And if that locks me out of other content, that sucks.
And if it’s just AFK, then it also goes against the purpose/vision of the game. Not saying that you’re doing it, but don’t bloat it with unnecessary mechanics.
From what we’ve heard from the community, players are initially drawn to the game because they love that concept of inactive playing. They then get hooked on the game so much that they actually also want to do something in the game even when they’re not doing exercising, so something active. It’s a very often heard suggestion. Obviously it’s impossible to please everyone, but the majority actually does want this. If that’s not you, thats unfortunate but understandable.
Edit: also, seems like you will need to basically “charge up” combat points with steps, which you can then use to fight some stuff. So you will still need to be walking first to be able to do combat.
