I see. That’s not what “security by obscurity” means in my world, but the expression certainly sounds like it could. It’s not like I own the meaning of words, so it’s interesting to hear what it means to others. Could also have been meant figuratively, I suppose.
I meant it in the sense of using an obscure operating system to be less likely to be targeted by a threat actor.
Or to be more general, using obscure software for increased security, over actually correctly configuring and using secure software.
Viruses already exist for Linux and have for a long time. They are less prevalent than Windows but this obviously shouldn’t be the primary defense strategy for your device.
No announcement or confirmation from Night School Studio regarding GOG, Steam, the Playstation Store, or the Nintendo eShop as of yet. My guess is they would give a decent warning announcement if it were to leave those outlets as well, but regardless I did download my copy from GOG to my backup drive just in case.
Do by chance mean Stardock not Paradox? I was unable to google anything about Paradox and the Star Control IP but lots about Stardock came up. But if it was them could you pass me some links I was unable to find anything.
Managing your mind in this game is very satisfying. They include a long play mode that can be very enjoyable to zen out to. Plus the two different character classes having entirely different ways to move your resources and mine that are equally engaging, which is a balance I find most games struggle to achieve.
