frustrated_phagocytosis, do gaming w Confirmed - Electronic Arts (EA) sold off to investors including Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund

Didn't they just do the opposite of this for TikTok?

Kissaki,

China isn’t Saudi Arabia, and Trump collective media control efforts hasn’t reached gaming yet. Tiktok was China ownership reduction from 40-20 percent, while China still retains algorithm control. This one is a buy.

It’s an opposite movement of ownership between countries, yes, but every different overall and in the details.

Nelots, do games w Antivirus Survivors 2003 Professional is like an infested Windows XP as a survivor-like bullet hell

bvoigtlaender, do games w New Valve trademark for 'Steam Frame', looks like we're getting new hardware
@bvoigtlaender@feddit.org avatar

Was hoping for a steam deck as i didn’t get one and it feels off to get one now. But either way I like to see valve actually creating stuff again. :)

ampersandrew,
@ampersandrew@lemmy.world avatar

It’s still a good time to get a Steam Deck. Most games fit its spec just fine, it’s one of the cheaper handhelds on the market for the power you get out of it, and it has good battery life for that power, too.

Dariusmiles2123,

And you can get a used LCD for cheap now that it has been out for a while.

And I can tell you that the screen is already more than good enough for me with really good colors.

fin, do games w Steam Survey for July 2025 shows Linux approaching 3%

They are using Arch instead of ubuntu crap so I guess that’s good

BotsRuinedEverything, do games w Steam Survey for July 2025 shows Linux approaching 3%

It’s interesting that Android operating systems aren’t included in this metric. It is absolutely linux based.

drspawndisaster,

Steam does not work on android without something like Winlator. This is data specifically about Steam.

There’s literally multiple filters to block adult and NSFW games from being shown in the store. If you’re seeing porn games, then you haven’t turned them on

    Agrivar,

Huh, more creepy incels in this community than I expected. Oh well.

    _cryptagion,

You have to opt in to see porn games. You’re seeing them because you chose to.

    Diff of the new terms

    They add a
inside the
? wth

    Messy layouting

    SirQuack,

You never make a list that has an item with a hard break in it? They are everywhere.

    Kissaki,

Why would I add a line break when I don’t want or need a line break? It’s a list item, not a text paragraph.

I define the layout and spacing in CSS for the li element.

I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this as prevalent or common. If at all then as a strange outlier.

I have tried 4 times to download the Windows .zip from blenderstudio.itch.io/dogwalk. Three attempts failed around the 90% downloaded point, and once around 25-30%. Guess I won’t be seeing this game.

Worse, they would make the hardware in such a way that you need special screwdrivers to open it, and even if you get access to it, the internal design is so hostile that it makes replacing parts a 4 hour experience.

    kipo,

“Please submit all fears and worst-case scenarios to the HP Product Design & Improvement Team using our online portal. We strive to implement the most popular ideas into our products.”

    kipo,

“The HPGamerMate includes a patented AI-powered blockchain-secured cloud-enabled software-encrypted physical lock on the back of the unit to prevent unauthorized access to the inside of the device. Any attempts to circumvent the hardware lock are considered to be circumvention of the software encryption and will be prosecuted under the Digital Millinnium Copyright Act of 1998 or your region’s specific laws.

HP takes the security of its products seriously and will never burden users with being able to service our devices.”

    DebatableRaccoon,

It’s a bold assumption that parts would even be available to buy.
