Bad console ports on PC where mouse control code was recycled from gamepad control code. For example, in Just Cause 2, the maximum turn rate is capped and so is the minimum cursor acceleration, with the end result being when you move the mouse your character moves like you’ve mushed a gamepad control stick instead of the fast, smooth, PC cursor style movement of the reticle that every other PC FPS manages to pull off.
‘Puzzles’ that are just fetch quests for numbers or pieces of something.
It’s so boring and such a waste of my time.
Let me circle these four pillars to find the numbers on them and plug them into the whatever keypad. Wowie. What a head scratcher. I sure feel like I solved a thing, boy howdy.
Yea, if it’s a lock code or but you’re not gonna make me think or work out what those numbers are, like finding calendars dates or other info from the game world and needing to piece it together, then just make it a damn note to find instead of making me hunt around for each individual number or those lame “match the symbols” shit. Those are so lazy.
20 and 80 seems about the right parallel, they both vote for fascists in droves so it kinda checks out. I’d wager the level of idiocy is neck and neck.
It’s only $3 on play store and iPhone store. The phone version has the advantage that you only have to cast/input each spell once, and then you have a button to press.
I’m not a retro gamer, but I also don’t really understand the appeal of 1:1 PC ports - in my mind you’d either want to go for the full experience with the original console and controllers, the CRT TVs they were designed for etc, and if you really wanted to play it on a modern device emulators fit the bill perfectly. Is there something special about the original code being ported to x86? At least remasters try to take some advantage of that modern hardware, although I understand it’s not the “same” game
Ayyyy plus one on both Carrion and Supraland! Loved both of those. I can’t wait to get the latest Surpaland game (Supraworld iirc?). Such a fun puzzle platformer.
Just so it’s not forgotten to time I want to recommend AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake). It’s basically what if Metroid 2 was made in the Super Metroid engine.
I’d recommend any of the 2D Metroids, but if you’re going to play Metroid 2, that’s the version to play.
