Fairly different games, 2006 was more of a classic linear narrative shooter in the early 2000s tradition but with some brilliant mechanics and novel guns, and a pretty cool storyline (if a bit b-movie-like). 2017 offers a freedom of approach and exploration that’s uncomparable, but it’s also more stern in atmosphere and tone. I don’t have a favourite, but now you made me want to do a replay of 2006
I feel like 2006 was a bit like a rollercoaster. You kind of just enjoy the ride and eagerly await what’s coming next. It helps it’s a relatively short game by today’s standards with HowLongToBeat saying it will take seven hours to complete.
Zelda and ER open world does feel like a separate genre from the Ubisoft style open world we see even in non Ubisoft games like Horizon. That said, I enjoyed my time in Days Gone even if it’s similar to the formula. Facing your first horde in the game was truly spectacular. Also it being connected to Syphon Filter helps too lol.
Metro 2033 redux and COD WaW custom zombies. Haven’t been in a big gaming mood recently and want something easy and fun. I enjoy the short chapters and fun gameplay and world building of the Metro games, this is my second playthrough. COD custom zombies is just fun and relaxing when playing easy maps and you can stop at any time
Been playing Slice and Dice mainly, simple and fits into everything else that’s going on in life. This week I beat it on hard mode, just the once but that’s more than ever before!
2 and 3 feel like saints row knock-offs for 12-year-olds.
The first game was… Genuinely different in a lot of ways.
The mod is called Living City and adds so much, it might almost be the real Watch Dogs 2 we never got. What the series could have been had it not gone off the rails.
This week I finished Trails in the Sky SC which was good, although I enjoyed FC’s story’s smaller scope more.
Tried playing Sea of Stars, but I felt like the writing was so bad I couldn’t play more than like 3 hours. So I started and finished Chrono Trigger over the weekend which was great and I’m surprised it exists on SNES.
I just finished running Sleeping Dogs, and I’m trying to find something new (to me, not necessarily “new release”). If I don’t find anything that catches my eye, I’ll probably try Middle Earth: Shadow of War again.
You mean poker without real money? Because there are a lot of gambling sites, I would believe that some of them also offer poker. But please, there are better things to do with your money. You could donate it for example.
