Sharpiemarker,

Ooo I like that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Sharpiemarker,

Hell yes I’ll allow it!

Great suggestion!

Sharpiemarker,

Thank you for the recommendations! I’m starting with Internet Protocol and digging it already!

Sharpiemarker,

I’m checking out 4mat and started with Decades. That is fantastic! Thanks for the suggestion!

Sharpiemarker,

Sharpiemarker,

I’ve had less free time in the last few years than I would have liked

You’ll get no judgement from me, friend. Besides, being a patient gamer means cheap or free games to play.

Sharpiemarker, (edited )

My heart goes out to the Bungie team. It’s a terrible feeling to have to rely on your job for a paycheck and healthcare and to have to endure the anxiety of thinking you’ll lose your job or benefits any day. Especially with the industry being in such turmoil right now. Dozens of gaming dev houses are laying off their staff and shuttering their doors, so it’s not like you can just pick up another job in the industry when veterans are competing for the small number of positions available.

Sharpiemarker,

This is about the worst take I’ve seen recently.

Blames the workers for not leaving sooner, for not seeing it coming, for not unionizing, for making a decent living.

So you blame the victims of corporate greed instead of the corporations themselves.

Maybe you should consider keeping your opinions to yourself?

Bungie has show themselves to be a good employer for a decade or more. You can’t blame workers because the company was sold to Sony and now are being mistreated.

Sharpiemarker,

I used to be into brainy games. When life gets busy, I tend to enjoy simpler games that are easy to put down.

MMOs require a lot of time and effort.

I think some games require you to be a bit ADHD.

Anyone knows about calm Windows games with 1-finger touch screen support? angielski

What I am searching for is for games that support touch screens and can be played with 1 finger / one hand. No action games with fake joysticks on the screen, just games that work with a single finger or at least one hand while lying in bed and trying to wind down. One very good example is Civilization V, which has a dedicated...

Sharpiemarker,

But how do you know if the screws are tight when you’re not counting ugga duggas?

Sharpiemarker,

This is the kind of shit I think of when people tell me AI is taking people’s jobs.

Sharpiemarker,

The trailer blew my mind. I’m not a Horror fan at all, but the graphics are straight out of DOS games from my childhood and the soundtrack absolutely SLAPS. The album is on bandcamp and the first track give me massive Donut Ghost House vibes from Super Mario World.

Sharpiemarker,

I’m too old for Warframe. I still can’t figure it out. Had 1100 hours in Destiny 2 but Warframe seems to take a sadistic pleasure in making things confusing.

Sharpiemarker,

I made it as far as joining a clan and getting access to the dojo and blueprints. I’ve got an archwing and a surfboard (or whatever it’s called in free roam).

I’ve been stuck on the mission where you have to offer some kind of medallion to a statue and it transports you to some asteroid. You deplete the boss’s shield a few times to kill it, but I always get wiped.

I guess my main complaint is that it all feels the same. Missions on different planets have the same strategy and same enemies with the exception of those elder tree/virus/God things Father/Mother/Sister/Brother/etc.

Seems like I play long enough to figure pieces out again and then lose interest in the grind.

Sharpiemarker,

Thanks so much for taking the time to explain some of the nuances. Despite it’s flaws, I’ve still been impressed by the depth to Warframe considering its humble free-to-play status.

Sharpiemarker,

How do you define a role playing game?

You’re playing as a person in an alternate reality.

You have character stats and builds.

Someone else is in control of the overarching narrative (you can’t just decide to become a plumber for example).

Sharpiemarker,

What is this Castle-Crashers-style art?

Sharpiemarker,

Ahhhh, that makes more sense. I wondered why it was so familiar.

Sharpiemarker,

Not paying developers and then axing 800 employees? Surely Epic can’t be long for the world at this rate.

Sharpiemarker,

While I also dislike Epic, I feel that their going under would be a bad thing for the industry as a whole. There are only a few game distribution platforms of this size; Steam, Epic, Prime, GOG, and EA/Origin (not including Consoles). So there will be less competition and less innovation. They give out a ton of free games, and people may lose access to those licenses. They also employ(ed) a large number of people who are going to be jobless. I’d prefer they get their act together and be held accountable.

Sharpiemarker,

That was my reaction as well. I wonder if they’re just trying to reassure people since they announced today they’re discontinuing online services for Wii U and 3DS.

Sharpiemarker,

Only game that I’ve had where the songs have made it into my daily playlist.

Sounds like you need recommendations for games with great soundtracks!

Sharpiemarker,

Yeesh, that doesn’t inspire confidence. Good catch!

Sharpiemarker,

Because they want to get paid for their work?

Sharpiemarker,

Did none of you read the article?

The modder, PureDark is talking about putting in anti-theft mines into their mods. Exactly like the Mad Max game where you can’t win and it makes it impossibly difficult if you’re playing a cracked copy. Below is the quote from the article, emphasis mine.

PureDark also responded to how quickly the Starfield mod was cracked.
"It was expected since it was something I put together within a day or two, but I did get enough patrons so it’s done its job. So from now on I will place hidden mines in all my mods to make it harder for these people.

Sharpiemarker,

Based on the context it would only affect people who pirate it.

Sharpiemarker,

I’ve had Cassette Beasts in my steam wishlist for a while. How is it?

Sharpiemarker,

Brilliant! Thanks for the recommendation.

Sharpiemarker,

That’s quite the endorsement! I’m sold.

Sharpiemarker,

I was absolutely expecting this to be satire.

Sharpiemarker,

I wonder who thought that having a cowboy as a main character would be a good idea for people outside of the US.

What’s wrong with cowboys? The US was one of the first countries into space (2nd) and space explorers are often thought of as “space cowboys.”

🎵It’s been a long road🎵

Sharpiemarker,

If you like to drive around looking out the driver’s side window.

Sharpiemarker,

I’ve owned it for years but I just started playing it again but on my Steam Deck. It has aged incredibly well and is still a lot of fun.
