Amazing how this cash grab of a game has been in early access alpha development for about 8 years now, finally releases, and this is the best they can do
My issues with 7D2D are countless but the shitty terrain isn’t one of them. I love the way you’re able to destroy and shape the obviously polygon terrain in that game.
It doesn’t look great while you’re doing it but it doesn’t take anything away from the experience.
I’ve been playing it for a good couple months and I’m still nowhere near tired of it, I’ll actually replay the whole game once I beat it because it’s so much fun. Love the story and voice acting too. This game goes on sale a lot so I’d highly suggest getting jt for cheap and trying it out
That’s just new competitive games in general though. The best time to play a pvp game is the first month when there isn’t a clear meta yet and everyone’s having a good time.
Not only that but it’s a worse user experience all around.
I fucking hate the EGS and Xbox stores for browsing new games. Most of the time you’ll get an animated video that’s not game footage and two screenshots that don’t tell you shit.
Not to mention that the formatting is so bad that the client requires you to basically be in fullscreen but you’ve still gotta scroll a mile down to get any info.
I play a lot of OS RuneScape and I unintentionally know a lot of dudes irl names because their wives or whatever start calling for them. We’re all like 40 now so after a few hours our wives come check if we’re still breathing
Feel like this is one of those games that’s super fun but flawed to a point you can’t fix it. Like the last time I played without any cheesy strats, I found myself not wanting to build anymore because the exploders would destroy everything so building a base was pointless.
We’d just find a random gas station or something and just remove any way the dudes could climb up. It’s fun for a bit but after a while you’re just shooting fish in a barrel.
My wife works for the NPS and her old coworker invited us to help out with their eclipse event in Ohio. Apparently they’re already prepping to close all the parking lots and are real worried they won’t have enough rangers.
I mean, when I saw an ex-Jagex employee making a new MMO I thought it was going to be slightly inspired by RuneScape… But this game looks exactly like RuneScape, and the description of the gameplay also matches it perfectly - this is essentially RuneScape 3 but managed by someone else (and with a much newer engine)
Always pretty lame to see weapon nerfs in pvm games since I couldn’t care less what someone’s abusing to hit their endgame quicker.
I don’t play with randoms so for me the fun of stonger gear is that I can fill the rest of my gear with joke gear. Sometimes my group will rock all mines and mortar sentry to try and blow each other up.
Edit: the railgun did need a nerf tho I mainly mean like the other smaller weapon changes.
always fine with balancing things but this just feels like the usual trend all games have these days where they’ll nerf first then a month from now have a list of buffs.
I could see the urgency of nerfing the railgun because I imagine every little gremlin is abusing it rn. It’s always the small nerfs like -3 rounds in the breaker that I roll my eyes at and wished they’d just wait until they roll out the buffs to do those.
I’m not going to see any gameplay changes while I’m running from 2 bile titans plus horde and my breaker plunks 3 less times.
Twenty bucks there’s gonna be a big ol post that gets a lot of attention for adding +1 round to ten different guns a month from now.
I’m not sure where you’re getting the “blank wants blank to be blanker” vibes from but you go off.
I personally love the difficulty and to me this is just Nazi Zombies in a reskin. Where the harder difficulties are higher waves… so you’ve gotta run a train, your guns are really only for panic situations, and sometimes the train catches up to you before you grab your packed gun, so you lose it.
Eh, I rarely shoot anything with my breaker besides dumping into a stalker/solo in the way stranglers. On harder difficulties it’s just not worth trying to accurately hit any weak spots on like chargers or anything else that would require precise aiming.
Wow I can still self host? That’s real generous of them. I’ll be sure to do that after rebuying the game for $50. I’m sure I’ll have the privilege of rebuying all the dlcs for more too.

A bit sad their next game is on hiatus, but I’m happy for them. I assume they’ll be working on Deadlock since it’s sort of similar to Risk of Rain 2.
