Or, you now have a slightly depleted magazine on your belt. Depending on the game mechanics (and possibly the reloading method you choose).

“Did you remember to plug the server back in after vacuuming the server room?”

“Shit.” "Honey, gotta make a quick jump at the office! "

But… the invisible plane! That’s perfect video game material!

I had to play Half Life at 15 fps on my Tseng video card, so you guys should have to suffer too!

I bought a bike helmet.

Oh, you meant on steam? Luckily my rig is still out of commission, so nothing.

Man…

Front…

Two hundred metres.

Six.

Is down.

Arma (or Flashpoint before it). Although it’s gotten slightly better in that regard, I think. Haven’t run it in quite some time. It’s still probably the best there is for milsims though.

Just so we’re clear, that’s a wired service?

I still have trouble wrapping my mind around the absolute scam that are US Internet provider companies.

Otherskin Preview - Your New Favorite Janky PS3 Game (youtu.be)

Otherskin is a third person shooter that plays like your favorite, obscure, janky action adventure game from the PS3 era. It has a lot going on, with unique powers you absorb from defeated enemies, an array of weapons and power-ups, and a story that feels a lot like Returnal.

What could a Star Citizen cost? Eight hundred million dollars?

It was sometimes scary on a screen, I’d still like to try it in wVR if it works.

The mustache is much too wide. I don’t know why everyone sees Hitler.

It has the potential to be an amazing game. But it probably never will be.

I fire it up once or twice per year. It looks great. Beyond that… it’s kind of fun to explore a bit, but that’s pretty much it. Not sure if anything will ever become of it.

It’s like a tip to XBox. Yo do tip your console, right?

That seems like a lot of work for potato world.

“Potatoes throughout the universe! This week only at potato world!”

Gameplay mechanics were also a lot better with more replayability. (lemmy.world)

Ignoring the lack of updates if the game is buggy, games back then were also more focused on quality and make gamers replay the game with unlockable features based on skills, not money. I can’t count the number of times I played Metal Gear Solid games over and over to unlock new features playing the hardest difficulty and with...

What was great is that we had more free time.

I’m about to revive my CV1 as I reinstall my gaming rig in a couple months. I hope it won’t be bricked by those Facebook idiots.

After a while, you’ll find that those “friends” will:

  • not be available at the same time you want to play.
  • won’t have the game in their library.
  • won’t necessarily want to play the way you want to

You get your gaming sessions where you can, or not at all.

How about the triple A remake of Pong we’ve all been waiting for?

We peaked when we had full hd. After all what could top full high definition… fuller high definition? That would just be silly.

There’s clearly two groups: young gamers that play their games the same way they use excel and the old gamers that have dedicated settings.

I never played on consoles, but I’m pretty sure that also happened on PC. Maybe around 2005 or 10.

This looks promising. Looking forward to trying it again when I’ll finally be able to put my machine back together.

They say Insurgency development continues nevertheless.

We shall see. It’s a fun game for a quick 20 minutes of action.

AnUnusualRelic,

I play casually on coop servers from time to time (at level 250 or something, although it’s nice that levels are meaningless in that game). I mostly see it as a fun and not too serious shooter that’s good for a quick game.

I don’t always have the time for a Squad session.

If it hadn’t been for reddit, I wouldn’t have been aware that there was an online mode.

And it’s not the same story at all.

Also the game seems to be only tenuously linked to the Lem story.

If you stopped running for a second, maybe I could actually heal your stupid rambo ass.
