I’ve played it now for about 3 hours and it feels very much like Skyrim/Fallout in space - not more, but also not less. There is nothing revolutionary about anything, but this was also not my expectation. The NASA-Punk aesthetic works well enough and gunplay was surprisingsly good so far - but your enemies are quite spongy.
NPCs and dialogues are a bit wooden, but this is nothing new for Bethesda games as well.
The worst thing is the engine. It really shows how old this engine is. There are things which simply look terrible in my book, this becomes obvious during the first visit in New Atlantis (which is pretty early in the game).
There are people who have hungered for a new Bethesda Game^TM for almost a decade, and Starfield will ladle out another big helping, and I’m happy for them that they have many hours of enjoyment coming.
I’m just, kind of full, when it comes to that dish.
850 grams is crazy and barely usable imo, the steam deck already feels heavy at 670 and puts too much strain on the wrists due to the controller layout + weight.
Yeah same here, i barely play with the steam deck anymore and im back on playing on the pc or the switch with the spit pad pro, not worth having something portable weight almost 1kg lol. I have been looking into the rog ally but its just like 60grams less than the deck.
Yesss! I barely play counterstrike anymore, but I am excited to see this. And coming this summer? Summer is damn near over. They gotta be releasing it soon.
No, you can fly it. The thing is, manually piloting your ship sounds like it’s not used for transportation, only for combat and docking/boarding other ships and space stations. But those things are apparently pretty fun.
60$, or regional equivalent, for 6 games is not a bad discount. If you own even one of them already the price is halved. I’d say that qualifies as cheap.
Also hoping they’ll do something so enemies handle stealth better. It’s very silly when they give up the search after like two rounds, even when there’s a dead body right there. Sometimes they freak out and run around, but a lot of the time they just go back to normal.
No, for releasing a solid game and following it up with a solid performance patch. If the game sucked at launch, I would understand criticism, but it didn’t.
Yeah I only go on for the occasional community day if I like the shiny just so I can transfer it to a game that is actually fun to play. Trouble is I’m running out of fun main line games now too…
I really hope Gamefreak/nintendo can get their house in order, the IP deserves so much better than it’s gotten the past few years. Arceus was an encouraging development, I hope they build on that.
