The game in question is The Callisto Protocol, which clearly has Dead Space visual and thematic inspirations.
The primary complaint from the one review I read was that the combat was punishing and unenjoyable. You’re never really given the tools to feel like you can handle encounters, making them trudging slog of endurance and frustration.
I just played through the game a few months back and I thought it was awesome. I hope we get something else like it in the future. The ammo was never too scarce, there were enough upgrades to make the combat very satisfying. But I also played it after all the updates came out to kind of balance.
Up to 87 hours warts and all. Have played through some great quests. Also found plenty of bugs and annoyances, but overall it’s great. The random procedural quests are a nice addition, a call back to Daggerfall. The space combat is an ok addition. Bases are the big waste of time here, but you don’t really need to do one. There are lots of nice shoutouts to your character after doing certains quests, including NG+. (Few things that don’t make sense, and they could’ve pushed it farther -
spoilerlike does it makes sense to join the Crimson Fleet in the Razorleaf, better to have cut out that questline for that play thru IMO
) Overall quite satisifed and i’m enjoying it a lot. I can see getting to 100 hours easily without mods.
I just talked to a guy who was facing away from me, well his head was looking at the wall while his body was pointed at me. It was…disconcerting…(and amusing!)
You literally could not handle a mod that removes incorrect biology and English grammar from a game. Cry more. Your ideology is objectively false and we will never bend the knee to it.
I'll interact with the mentally ill if I have to, but I won't participate in their mental illness as part of the interaction. This is irrelevant in the context of this game, because it's single player.
Just my 2 cents but could be the extra 2 Billion people in the world since release. When wow came out internet wasn’t as widespread and fast as now, as well as anyone buying into wow after the 2nd or 3rd expansion might have trepidation with the sheer amount of content.
I’d be happier if the site didn’t violate the GDPR
A bit of added context:
They are based in Latvia, which is part of the EU, so subject to the GDPR. And under the GDPR, the use of Google Analytics is in fact unlawful without getting explicit and informed (that one’s very important) consent from the user.
Article 44 is the relevant one here, detailing data transfers to so-called third countries outside the EU.
