Do you know any singleplayer games that are infinitely replayable? angielski

I recently booted up Half-Life 2 to replay it. I have played the absolute shit out of this game before, so 60% of it just feels like a drag to me now. It was such an amazing game but it’s sort of spoiled for me after I’ve played it too much....

Ashyr,

I, for one, am eager to ride the next civilization wave. They’ve only gotten better and better.

18+ Ashyr,

Beautiful base, what do you think of Anomaly?

Ashyr,

I’d give anything to design my own tanks for Hell Let Loose and then crew it with my buddies.

Ashyr,

I would assume after. They’re already down, after all.

Ashyr,

I didn’t know either, so a quick google revealed she’s the mascot for voice generation technology that’s over 15 years old.

She’s especially famous for giving a live music performance where her likeness was projected onto a display.

She may be the first virtual idol.

Ashyr,

Can anyone explain why the water freezes rather than boils away in the vacuum of space?

Ashyr,

Is it like a zipper? Have we tried beaming music into it?

Ashyr,

Where’s the rock? I want to see it.

Ashyr,

Super weird. That game is great, just play it on easy and enjoy the ride.

Ashyr,

Nothing like sitting in the lounge of the TCS Tiger’s Claw, discussing the recent battle or the state of the war.

Ashyr,

Dawncaster on mobile. An expansion comes out tomorrow and it’s the first mobile dlc I’m legitimately excited to throw money at. Excellent developers with an excellent game. Think Slay the Spire, but designed for mobile.

Caves of Qud on Steam Deck. It’s been a few years since I last played and it’s very different from what I remember. Combo that with using a controller for the first time and it’s been an enjoyable but challenging experience.

Hell Let Loose on PC. This may be my favorite multiplayer shooter of all time. I was a competitive counterstrike player back in 1.6 (Cal-M), so unseating those memories is an incredible achievement. It’s just so good.

The learning curve is steep and there’s plenty of room for frustration, but once you’re over that hump it’s legitimately a terrific experience.

Ashyr,

Factorio is exemplary, but hardly genre creating. They’re just base building games.

If anything has defined the genre for the modern generation it’s Dwarf Fortress.

Ashyr,

From the article, it sounds like their dlc have been overpriced with limited content and Pharaoh just seems bad?

Anyone closer to the issue know what the missteps have been?

Ashyr,

It has three expansions bundled with it. I’ve never played, but it’s my understanding that these three expansions represent the initial must-buy content.

Ashyr,

Honestly, you’re wandering into prescriptive vs descriptive grammar on this one. How we use words changes over time. For example, it’s not nearly as big of a deal to to end sentences with a preposition anymore.

No need to be pedantic, the meaning is clear.

Addicting, especially for non-professional usage, is perfectly fine these days.

But I tend to be a descriptionist.

Ashyr,

As a non-programmer who is nonetheless invested in the success of Godot, can anyone explain some of the highlights from this release?

I started reading the log and realized very quickly, I’m not the target audience and I don’t know why it ‘arrived in style’.

Ashyr,

Thanks! I’m excited to see progress.

Ashyr,

I remember loving this way back in the day. What an amazing labor of love. I hope the original devs can learn how loved their original creation remains.

Ashyr,

If anyone cares to save a few extra bucks, you can find slightly better deals elsewhere:

Every vendor listed is reputable and sells steam keys. I’ll be picking this up from GameBillet for $7.88.

Ashyr,

I can’t read the article due to my ad blocker. Oh well.

Ashyr,

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

Ashyr,

Anything particular exciting about this expansion? I’m not very versed in EVE, so it just sounds like more of the same.

Ashyr,

This guy unabashedly loved the base game when it came out. So yeah, I don’t really trust his opinion, but it’s not inconsistent for him to praise new content for a beloved game.

Ashyr,

The game in question is The Callisto Protocol, which clearly has Dead Space visual and thematic inspirations.

The primary complaint from the one review I read was that the combat was punishing and unenjoyable. You’re never really given the tools to feel like you can handle encounters, making them trudging slog of endurance and frustration.

Ashyr,

This game looks really cute and made a big splash when it first came out, but I’d be curious whether it has any staying power or if it grows stale with repetition.
