I’ve never been much of a battlefield fan - played the first two when they came out then lost interest in this segment of gaming…
BUT: this is interesting! Their multiplayer map editor is built in godot, which should be a good thing for indie devs using the engine - EA will probably help the godot foundation and hundreds of kids using godot to edit maps will create lots of new indie devs :D
I’ve been a Battlefield fan for a long time now, but as I’ve got older I’ve begun to hate the ultra fast pacing of most mainstream shooters. This genuinely looks like it would be headache inducing to play.
Agreed, I thought the features of the stream looked quite interesting, love how you can pull downed squad mates out of danger, buy my overwhelming thought was, damn this would be better if it was slower.
Honestly i’m holding back my excitement, considering it’s Gravity. Even if it’s a very low hanging fruit, i wouldn’t put it past them to not mess it up.
Nah, this isn’t a memorization type of game, or at least not so much based on the other games this developer has made. You’re basically just going to press Light then Medium then Heavy, or you can just mash on any one of those three buttons in order to do a combo. And largely, everyone has pretty similar reaction times when you’re familiar enough with a game to know what might be coming; in general, you mostly just want to hold down-back until your opponent does a big slow move.
I loved pvz back in the day, before it got junked up by EA. I have no idea what the state of the game is anymore. Curious if this would be worth playing for a bit of nostalgia.
I still keep a copy of a pre-EA version on my pc, as that was the cleanest one. I played pvz2 for a bit back when it launched and don’t remember it being complete shite, but it was absolutely riddled with mtx. As far as the other pvz games, holy hell what a shitshow.
Square: “Alright, we are developing a new game that looks pretty neat. Who is available to come up with the worst names possible for the title, characters, and locations?”
The existence of this game was leaked a week back, not surprising.
While my money won’t touch anything involving EA related, I’m really afraid of what they might do to the game’s mobile ports (that is if they even port it)
