I loved the final dungeon of this. One of my favorite zelda dungeons ever

Jeśli masz widoczność optyczna to powinno działać.

Savage : The Battle of Newerth - SavageXR

This was such a great RTS/FPS hybrid at the time. I looked for RTS/FPS games a couple of years ago when I remembered it, and the genre is all but dead. I did spend a lot of time playing Silica though, which is still in early access. I haven’t checked in on that in a while now though.

Wind Waker has that effect.

Psythik,

I didn’t even know they released a new version in 2023.

Sylvartas, do games w What level of interest do you have in "empire building" location based games?

Idk about the whole corporation vibe. I’d personally go for “pure” industry. All players are working to grow a huge factory because we all know t̳̖̮͕͙h͈̪ͪ͊̈̿̍̐͢ĕ̪͖͔̃̃͛̄͌̚ ͉̙͈̩̩̬̪̓̉f̘̈ͭá҉̟c͔͖͌̚͡t̨͙̖̖̹͚̬͐ͧ͛̀̈́ò̻̼̙r̢̙͒́̂y̔ͫ͛̆ͥ̍͏̲̯͍̫͚̣͚ ͎̽̾̓̋͋̇m̹̣̙ͦ̿̑͡ȕ̝͕̑̿͒s̛̀̓̔̊t̗͈̦̽̀̆̃ ̠̯͕̀͒̃g̿̾̾̅͑͟ȑ̠̃ͨ̿͌̿̉o̿̽͂̐̒ͫ҉͔̲͚̺̲w̧͗͑͆̄̆ͦ̾

Hey that’s totally valid!

I’m an avid player of Factorio and Dyson Sphere Program. Those really scratch the pure factory itch.

I’m aiming to scratch a different itch here. Persistent empire building in competition with others over finite resources is an itch that’s REALLY hard to scratch. And that’s what I’m aiming for here.

That sense that you have built something that feels more tangible than other games you’re accustomed to. There’s a real world element, you control something that someone else cannot, with that comes that empire building feeling I personally live, and want to build a game around.

Sounds cool. I think there is a lot of untapped potential in location based games. Games like Ingress and Pokemon Go barely scratched the surface.

moonlight,

Shadow Cities was really fun back in the day. Despite coming out so long ago, I think it was the best location based game. I'm disappointed and a bit surprised that nobody ever recreated it. Niantic tried, but they never really captured the magic of it. Pokemon go was fun for a short time, but got boring fast. I think it was a huge missed opportunity to not have actual Pokemon battles, especially PvP.

They eventually got around to it, but by that time the game was so overmonetized that getting anything good to use in PvP required a bunch of cash or all of your time grinding.

Full steam ahead until I beat the game. See I have just 3 achievements to earn until I have 100% completion.

They’re all “collect/perform action 1 billion times” things.

Never play again.

Have 100% in Prepare to Die Edition of Dark Souls; have not done the ones where you need to collect every spell and ring in the Remaster.

Throw Manic Miners on there. It’s a fan remake of the old Lego Rock Raiders game, and it’s really fun. There’s a custom level builder and I think there’s a browser you can search for other custom levels.

Widelands - Settlers II inspired game, played a couple of hours, pretty neat.

FreeCIV - how can that gme be missing here? :)

UnCIV - Civ V clone, also pretty neat

OTINOKTYAH,

Thanks. I’ve added the games to the Addendum “Inspired Games”, but i think UnCIV is more a remake

Lumiluz,

I wouldn’t say Unciv is a Civ5 clone with those graphics though…

Esjott,

So remake as the website says? 🤔

Lumiluz,

I’d just say it’s an inspiration and say it’s a standard era 4x game. Graphically it’s a demake, but the cpu opponents are superior to those from V I’d say

Surely it's a clone given that it clones the game mechanics specifically? As in the rules of the game are 1:1 to Civ V, or as close as you'd need to be an expert in the game to tell the difference.
