If you like survival games… Ark, 7 days to die, Conan Exiles, Valheim*… You can self-host all of them so you don’t need to deal with griefers.
Valheim’s doesn’t work so well if you don’t all play together. Resources from exploration are finite and it really sucks if all the places you go, your buddies went to and looted already. Works best if most people play together and everyone plays around the same amount of time.
Holy fuck is there a lot of content in Cyberpunk 2077. I remember when the game came out people complained of it being as wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle but those people can fuck right outta here. It’s chock full of interesting stories to learn about and tons of fun gameplay. Same goes for Phantom Liberty which takes countless hours to get through.
I get that cost does not directly correlate to play time when it comes to video games, but it’s hard for me not to gawk at how this game was sold for the same price point of the yearly reskin of <insert corporate slop here>.
No, the irony of how CyberPUNK was almost ruined by corporate interference is not lost on me, but it’s clear that the developers, artists, writers, programmers, and designers behind this game are true masters of the craft.
This year, I’m most looking forward to playing through it again after I’ve taken a good couple months off.
I enjoy Cyberpunk quite a lot too, but if you're going to criticize the depth of the game, it's not necessarily because the writing is subpar or anything. It would just be a reflection of how differently the game can play out with different builds. It's a little better now with the 2.0 update, but the designers still very explicitly allowed for a hacking option here, a strength option there, and so on. Compare that against something like Baldur's Gate 3 where you're free to break all sorts of rules by just casting flight or invisibility on your party and solving a problem in a way that you came up with that the designers didn't go out of their way to plan for. The latter is real depth. A deep RPG should probably feel like your experience was pretty different from others' experience.
That’s fair. I guess I read the criticism like they were saying the game lacked the depth of the Witcher 3 which I would say is far from true. They’re roughly the same imo
For Humble Choice, the charity gets 5%, and there’s no way to adjust that as far as I know, so you’re worried about a whole $0.60 per membership, assuming you paid full price for the month at $11.99. If you managed to get it at $8, it’s $0.40.
If you’re going to be upset about something, save it for non Choice bundles, where you can actually adjust how much the charity gets.
And even then, if I have most everything in the bundle, I’m still not paying $25 or whatever for it.
What’s crazy to me in light of this post’s exchanges is that often these cheap keys show up a day or more after Choice or a bundle goes live, and there may be only one or two keys per merchant, so it’s entirely possible people are buying the bundles, and just reselling the keys separately to make a buck after the publishers and charities already got their cut. Maybe, or not.
Definitely watch some comparison videos of the performance and make a decision based on that. If you’re likely to play the game on the go, then go for the Switch version. I myself realised, however, that I wouldn’t be playing the game on the go at all since my SO was interested too, so I got the game for PS5 for the better performance.
I think the performance isn’t stellar on Switch, but you can make it work since nothing too crazy is going on in the game that would require perfect framerate and resolution - most of the game is reading anyway.
Days Gone, since it just released on gog and I wanted to give a triple a title another shot. It turned out to be pretty good, fun driving and gameplay, and the hordes were terrifying.
Also I was amazed how well this game was running, 4k 144hz butter smooth on a 4070. Kudos to the developers!
Try again and stick with it. I had to do it three or four times and now I’m hooked. Just about to finally beat the game which is rare for me. And it took a year, but it’s one I always want to come back to

Dobre pytanie. Do tej pory nie było zbyt dużo takich sytuacji (bez smartphone’a), ale jak już się nadarzają to drukuję screena z tych przeklętych Map Googla (więc, okej, nie jest tak, że zupełnie z nich nie korzystam).

No właśnie - to już nie jest praktykowane. Taksówkarze nie zdają egzaminów ze znajomości topografii miasta (nie twierdzę, że to źle - po co sobie utrudniać pracę?), nikt nigdzie się nie gubi. Z tym że mało kto myśli co się dzieje z danymi na temat naszych podróży. Jak bardzo rozwijają się reklamy kontekstowe i wzrasta pokusa konsumpcji… Co ciekawe, te 10-15 lat temu, gdy kupowanie map było normą dla mnie były przydatne tylko w Gothicu i innych Falloutach - dopiero “wyszłam z pieluch”. A teraz proszę, jaki, tfu, reakcjonizm z mojej strony.
Warto rozróżnić dwie kwestie. OpenStreetMap to baza wolnych map, natomiast Mapy.cz to zaledwie klient korzystający z ich danych.
Oficjalnym klientem do OSM jest Osmand, dostępny w darmowej lub płatnej wersji w Google Play Store lub też w darmowej i wolnej od trackingu w F-Droid. Ale istnieją też inne klienty do OSM: Maps.me, Organic Maps, Lotus Map.
Warto też zwrócić uwagę, że dane OSM są również używane przez Mapbox, Nokia Here i Google Mapy, a także komercyjne programy do nawigacji, jak system Toyoty, Yanosik, Sigma Cycle, Garmin czy AutoMapa.
Ja osobiście używam Osmand, wersji F-Droid i jestem bardzo zadowolony. Aplikacja jest bardzo funkcjonalna, wszystko można ustawić po swojemu, od kolorów na mapie, po sposób wyświetlania konkretnych obiektów, kolor i rozmiar kropki, zachowanie ekranu podczas jazdy. Być może trochę overkill, jak się komuś nie chce w to bawić, ale warto. A jak nie, to Organic Maps jest prostszą alternatywą. Warto pamiętać, że w OSM nie ma bieżących danych o ruchu na drogach oraz recenzji miejsc, ale pod każdym innym względem są dużo lepsze od Google Map. Szczególnie polecam osobom pracującym jako kurierzy, jak woziłem kiedyś placki to znalezienie niektórych niestandardowych adresów było niemożliwe przez Google Mapy, a OSM miały je w swojej bazie.
Na razie wiele instancji jest w powijakach i dopiero się rozkręca - z takowych na pewno warto zajrzeć na zorientowane anarchistycznie kinowolonosc.pl Jest taka przydatna wyszukiwarka platform peertube’owych po tagach joinpeertube.org/instances
Jak narazie, nie. Ale kto wie czy jak nie zrobi się znacznie popularniejsza ta instancja to czy nie zainteresują się większe podmioty i będą chciały wymusić na właścicielach instancji usuwanie treści ich zdaniem naruszających prawa autorskie.
There needs to always be multiple game stores to keep prices in check. Steam can not be the only option or prices will skyrocket. See game console stores for reference. I use Playnite to seamlessly bridge my game libraries from Steam, GOG, Epic, Amazon Prime, itch.io etc. This is the way.
FYI, key resellers actually cost game publishers money, due to frequent credit card chargebacks. Many indie devs have stated that if you’re going to buy something from a key reseller, they would actually prefer you to just pirate it instead.
So ive heard, I remember the pricing before all the controversy was much lower, now most games after service fees either match steam price or slightly above a recent sale price.

Besides the difficulties for players, there’s also the fact that key reselling is an excellent method for credit card pickpockets to launder money quickly.
Someone’s credit card is swiped in the streets, and in the time before it’s reported stolen, the thief buys many copies of expensive games, to be resold on a place like this. The key resellers themselves claim they’re purchased directly, but…I personally have almost no faith in them or their claims.
Unfortunately I’ve heard the new skate has forgotten what it set out to do with an over emphasis on off board mechanics. Man you should really check out skater XL or Session though. In my opinion they’re then natural evolution of the genre.
I tried one of those and I thought it was way too bland. I think it was Skater XL? Session looks neat but I’ve heard it’s way too hard and I’m not really looking for a challenge

Yeah the mechanics of skater XL are good but there’s no story or anything. I don’t think session is any harder than skater XL and it does have a story mode.

Ah, yeah for me it’s all about the skateboarding and now that I’m used to the 2 stick trick system I don’t think I can go back to the skate 1 & 2 style.
Im still excited to check out skate 3 and I hope it does well. Just feels like I’m not the target audience anymore.
