perfectduck, do games w Sliced off the tip of my thumb, what are some good one handed games?

Might not be in your library, but mouse only game I’ve been enjoying is beat cop.

80s love letter to cop games, in the style of papers please. Reviews are a little mixed, it is a particular game, and it’s 80s warts and all. On sale currently.

You can probably play Vampire Survivors. All you really do is move around.

A_Union_of_Kobolds,

The menu inputs require both hands on console, if it wasnt for that its pretty good for it. I played it a lot when I was holding my baby, bottle in one hand and controller in the other.

Turn based RPGs would be good. You could use the controller one handed. Especially things made for game boy, since there aren’t a lot of buttons.

Is “Can’t do the steam day.” slang I don’t know or a typo I can’t decipher?

StarvingMartist,

Oops, I meant steam deck, fixed

bleistift2,

Much obliged.

TheMinions, do games w Sliced off the tip of my thumb, what are some good one handed games?

Have you considered vampire survivors? That’s a fun one on iOS and android.

StarvingMartist,

Hmmm, only if it doesn’t have a time based system, I always end up hacking those games to get past all the iap stuff cause I’m impatient

TheMinions,

I have Apple Arcade as part of some bundle or another. But the other characters and maps are unlocked by playing in game.

This game is so beautiful.

Oh crap. Reminds me that for some reason or other (Mostly just time issues I guess, and because dualbooting Windows was pain I guess) I never completed Max Payne 2. As a giant fan of the first game I loved it.

Wonder if I need to go dig out the discs. Wait wait what, I already have MP1&2 on Steam? How? When did I get them? Never mind. Hope these aren’t a massive headache to get running

This is making me want to replay this game. I don’t really remember much about the story of this one, but I do remember than the slow motion mechanics were much better than those of the first game.

Maybe a hot take but I think this year has been one of the best for gaming in a long time. We got Claire obscur, kcd2, Hades 2, silksong so far

I think I’ll always grieve the loss of Miiverse and Streetpass.

I’ll never forget the first time I took my 3DS to a nerdy convention and my green light just FIRED up! (Like a …. Green flame 😅)

I’m glad though that we can now at least use Pretendo. Those guys did an amazing job of recreating the community feel!

Maybe 1985, but 1986 and 1987 were good too.

My favorite memory of the 3ds is probably from playing a link to the past. My worst memory was selling all the games I had for it… no idea why I did it considering the prices for them are insane now. Should have just kept them…
I still own the XL version and am not letting it go. Still play fron tine to time.

After finding out that you can (rather easily) jailbreak the 3DS family consoles, I promptly did so for my childhood 3DS, loaded a bunch of Layton games onto it and gave it to my SO for her birthday two years ago. She’s had a blast with it. No way in hell will I be paying 100+€ just for two used copies of the 3DS Layton games if I can just jailbreak the console and get all the games I could want.

After clowning on it for years, I also got myself a 2DS because it was the cheapest 3DS-family handheld I could afford and have had a lot of fun with it too

Valmond,

My passkey died for my DS, haven’t been able to find a replacement, maybe I should look again.

You could also do homebrew on it, kind of nice back in the day.
