1. Enshrouded - Got just over 100 hours in the past month
2. Against the Storm - been playing on and off over the last year as new patches/DLC release.
3. God of Weapons - not a huge fan of this type of game but it’s fun for short bursts between other things

I am shocked the lifespan EU4 has. I played hundreds of hours of it on my (melting) laptop in college a decade ago. I’d let it run a bit while studying in the library, and kind of make slow moves and changes between studying things.

Metroidvanias have a blend of action and exploration but in 2d. Some recs: hollow Knight, nine sols.

Only play this if you have the self control to never spend any money on it, but genshin has some pretty good open world exploration.

You can emulate BOTW on PC.

Second for BotW emulation, if you haven’t played that yet. I took the emulation opportunity to set max_durability of all items at 400% with a helper program. Frick that noise, hahaha.
