Hope it runs on the deck. It’s where I played the first one. It’s a game that’s great to play on the go as it’s no problem to stop playing at any point and just resume at a later stage.
Interesting. I wonder what new mechanics the sequel will have? To be honest, a graphical improvement and more types of hose attachments would probably be enough to justify a sequel - but I wonder if they’re going to do more story stuff this time around? The original game had a fairly funny story, albeit entirely text-based.

We’re excited to announce the next chapter for PowerWash Simulator! Introducing…
✨ PowerWash Simulator 2! ✨
New Career
PowerWash Simulator 2 will feature a full 38 level career set across Muckingham, taking you to places old and new. From Lubri City to Pumpton, and everywhere in between!
Home(base) is where the heart is
There’s no place like home, and you’ll now have a base of operations. Somewhere to relax solo, or gather the team before you venture out to tackle the grime!
Split Screen has entered the chat!
PowerWash Simulator 2 will be getting some co-op updates, including split screen & shared online progression. Sit back and unwind with your partner in grime, or jump online and play with other washers to hose down the town.
Soap-erior Washing
The soap system has also been reworked for PowerWash Simulator 2, allowing your cleaning experience to feel more satisfying than ever. Foam up any dirty surface and easily wash it away with a smooth swipe of your washer.
PowerWash Simulator 2 will be coming to Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Windows Store, PlayStation 5 | Pro & Epic Games
Never played the first one but both of them look stupidly addictive. I feel like it is a chill version of Xonix-like games. Not quite the same but I can vaguely put them into the same genre basket.
Definitely the kind of game that you start playing and then suddenly it’s dark out, your boss is mad because you didn’t show up for work today, your parents are calling because you haven’t talked to them in a week, and bill collectors are writing you because you haven’t paid your bills in a couple months…
It’s an exceptional game, IF you can stomach the gameplay loop. Some might describe it as a walking simulator, a beautiful one, but a walking simulator nonetheless.
It also has some great story telling, but the gameplay loop won’t change, so if you find that too boring, it might not be a game for you.
I’m gonna be that guy and say that death stranding isnt a walking simulator by definition, walking simulators as a genre are more like visual novels meanwhile death stranding id more call a hiking simulator about the logistics of going from A to B.
I’d say death stranding is more like euro truck simulator on foot than it is stanley parable.
Other than that pretty much my thoughts on the game.
I LOVE that description, and I completely agree. What I’ve noticed though, with people that do not enjoy the game, that they’ve all labeled it as a walking simulator.
Even the one I enjoyed the least (mgs iv) still had several fantastic moments and would still gladly pay for full price for. I will gladly pre-order things from a fair number of devs personally
