Currently, 7 Days to Die, though I don’t like where it’s heading.

It’s varied over the years and included Total Annihilation, Wow, Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld among others.

I’m jealous of that download speed. Took me an hour to download and during that time my wife decided we had to go out for dinner. So now I don’t get to play until after work tomorrow 😔

bijuice,

I’m jealous of your internet speed! I’m getting 5MB/s down so I’ll have to play it tomorrow too :(

Stillhart,

Took me 5 hours this morning. I got 30-40 Mbps for most of the time until it started speeding up finally for the last hour. Finally in tho! (Except for this work meeting…)

Seeing all my friends jump on this has made it quite tempting. But I really need to finish some other stuff first I think. Hope you have fun!!!

The character creator is amazing! I can’t believe how good the faces and hair look! I made a beautiful female forest gnome druid and then ended up making a male guardian that was even more beautiful.

Fun fact: worked perfectly 100% fine out of the box on my Pop!_OS linux machine. I recently switched to linux (after trying every few years for the last couple decades) and I love that I can finally play games like this now!

It used to be an old CCG called Alteil, probably have 1k+ hours on that. After playing bg3 this week, defs bg3, but I do have a habit of wafting around a bunch of crpgs.

The 19 that is face up is the check after modifiers are added. Your unmodified roll is 9 and you have a +10 modifier

I agree that this is ridiculous. But I think the issue is that the "middle men" are the retail stores that are used to doing retail things like lowering the price of older goods. Digital storefronts don't have anybody going over "inventory" and checking if it needs to be marked down. And corporations being corporations, they don't care about this oversight. Why spend time/money on lowering the amount of money they'll make?

EGS gave that for free… after I bought it for $15 on Xbox 😡

Comes and goes. Cyberpunk was $10 physical for me which is cheaper than any digital sale but then I’ve had some AAA games just given away digitally too.

Give it a few weeks and it’ll be $7.99. Maybe even $5.99 depending on how many sales they got last time it hit $7.99.

They keep it at this price because it allows them to advertise an ‘80% discount’ several times a year, which gives them better visibility in the sales.

Which is a wholly different level of suck. But hey, ho.

Looks like you’re comparing an eBay listing (“or best offer”) of a used copy with the MSRP on the digital storefront where no sale is going on.

If you bought the physical copy at launch, you’d pay MSRP; pretty much the exact same price as the digital copy. Conversely, digital copies often see deep discounts, so you’d probably eventually see the price drop this low on the PS Store.

You’d have illustrated your point better by pointing out that digital and physical MSRP are often the same. I agree that cutting out the middle man did very little, but also, in both realms, there’s plenty of opportunity for deep discount, be it with used games or inventory liquidation in the physical, or bundles and seasonal sales in the digital.
