I stopped naming most of my pokemon as a kid because I would choose a name that fit the initial form but wasnt always good for the evolutions. Plus I couldnt remember all of the evolution names and wanted to see those. I always name my Link “Lonk” in zelda games though and it makes me chuckle every time
Imo the OG version is overall better, Ultra version add a lot of pokemon you can catch, making the game even more easier. The limited pokemon you can have in the og version makes the game more akin to the earlier pokemon game. It still easier of course. Except the final boss, that thing slap in both the fight and the music, so that’s one win for Ultra.
Also i like the og story more, ultra seems like they just slap a new story on top of the old one but forgot to smoothen out the edge.
Worst part IMO is that original SuMo had the most interesting antagonist the series ever had, and Ultra decided fuck that, let’s rewrite that character in the most boring way possible and drop a random threat out of nowhere instead.
Yeah, i feels like ultra take away the motive of og lusamine but still retain her craziness, so the sudden change of her motive midgame feels so weird. What worst is she still treat her child the same way in the beginning. OG Guzma is a big bully because he follow Lusamine order but ultra Guzma just doesn’t have the reason to be a bully. It’s weird.
I don’t know much about the Ultra Story line, but from what i do know about it (Ultra Beasts and Team Rainbow Rocket), it just really doesn’t do it for me
It is, randomly happens in the festival plaza after the main plot. Honestly not that interesting despite the premise, there’s barely any plot to be found, just the most basic excuse to have you fight a couple battles with past villains and it’s over very quickly. They’d advertised so much around Rainbow Rocket that I was a bit disappointed.
Disagree strongly. Pixel art almost always sucks. I play something like Stardew Valley and the whole time I’m thinking “This is a good game, but I wish it didn’t look like shitty blocky garbage”
Factorio is another. I used to love the Minecraft tech mods, loved Satisfactory etc, so I’m a fan of the genre, but when I try Factorio I lose interest within an hour because the whole game is an ugly brown pixelated mess. It’s so bad that it’s actually a barrier stopping me from enjoying the game.
Seems like a solid place for me to plug Deadbolt to anyone that hasn’t played it. It’s made by the risk of rain guys with Chris christodoulou making another iconic soundtrack.
It plays a bit like if hotline Miami was a stealth sidescroller, using fluid motion to get in, kill the enemies, and get out as quickly and smoothly ad possible.
Everyone should give it a try, it’s one I consistently ignore new games for.
Both are nice. I love simple aesthetics prsented masterfully, but I have NEVER played a game that evokes the surreal and beautiful as well as Alan Wake 2 which is using technology to facilitate that
