There's an old Infocom text adventure called Planetfall in which you have a comedy-relief sidekick in the form of a little robot named Floyd. Occasionally when you save the game Floyd will say "Oh boy, are we going to do something dangerous now?"
Every time I ran into Nazeem I would pickpocket whatever he had on him and replace it with the most random off-putting shit I could find in my inventory. Game doesn’t actually do anything, but it’s very satisfying to walk past him eating his lunch after stashing a human skull in his pocket.
I know a lot of people point to resale as a big advantage of physical media, but I really prefer just having a digital environment that encourages frequent sales and price reductions.
If you think about memorable singleplayer games for instance (AAA or indie), they’re really victimized by that mentality of “Well, I guess I’m done with this now”. Even shitty online games, or big open-world games with 80 hours of boring content, usually won’t be re-sold in that way; and each used sale will be a lost New sale for the developer. Never forget that You are the product of GameStop’s used games business.
Who is this guy anyway? He was the face of the moon on a previous post, and I know I've seen him before in a movie or TV show. Is this truly the face of god himself? Just curious.
Tangentially related question, but who is this guy that downvoted you? It was a completely innocuous question, and I know I’ve seen other innocent questions and statements like this downvoted for no good reason I can determine. Is this truly the judgement of god himself? Just curious.
I get downvoted just for existing sometimes But, I'm not in it for popularity, if I was I certainly wouldn't waste my time on social media platforms. I could say the sun is a star, and people would downvote it. I could say the sky is blue, and people would argue and say I'm an idiot.
Well I'm here to set the record straight. I AM an idiot and damn proud of it, which maybe explains why i spend my time on social media sites to start with.
