Definitely, I plan to integrate spoilers with ActivityPub. For now, it's just a Markdown change compatible with Lemmy - there were many requests for it, and it was quite cumbersome. I will start working on federation after finish the refactoring. I want to do this on the new codebase - I'm getting closer, but initially, I'm fully focused on instance moderation, which will enable the operation of a global moderation team. Later, things with lower priority will be gradually implemented.
I'm not sure what ernest is referring to with that, but something definitely does seem to be up with federation of content from kbin over to lemmy.
e.g. in /m/anime_irl the last three threads posted have not federated out. I commented here with a list of 5 lemmy servers I checked on a 24 hour old post that hasn't shown up elsewhere (after noticing my own post wasn't showing up).
There's also something going on with comments added by lemmy users on threads that have federated not going out to other lemmy instances. e.g. on this thread from 5 days ago only my first comment has federated widely; the other comment chain (starting with the user from lemmy.world) are only visible on kbin.social and lemmy.world, as far as I can tell. Not sure if that's exactly the same issue or not, but seems plausible for it to be related if something isn't working correctly with federation right now.
Comments that I've made on lemmy threads have gone through today though.
I will look into this. I will also gradually address federation issues. However, I'm not sure if the problem is on the kbin side. Currently, there are no performance issues; all queues are being cleared in real-time. Communication on my test instances with kbin.social takes a matter of seconds.
Idk what's the problem, but if I'm using Lemmy I'm only able to see the posts from almost two days ago, and nothing from what I've posted today. There was a problem a few months back, when my posts would appear on lemmy one to three hours after posting on kbin.
Also having the same thing happen over on /m/SquaredCircle for what it's worth. Just noticed last night after a particularly slow day. Logged into my lemmy.zip alt and noticed nothing for near 48h had come across from kbin. Checked another alt on another lemmy instance and it was more or less the same there too.
This is really sad to see -- I absolutely loved PD2 at release. It's some of the most fun co-op moments I've ever had in a game (maybe even the best).
I also played the beta and enjoyed the refined experience, but have still been working through BG3 and Starfield, so I decided to hold off on playing. Was hoping for a smooth release for everyone excited to play the game, so it's disappointing to see how terrible the experience has been at launch.
I have been sitting in matchmaking for over 3 hours at this point.
Looks like big streamers can access the game just fine, but I get spinning wheel that is occasionally punctuated with getting an error message and kicked out of the game.
The beta was like a week and a half ago, and matchmaking was crumbling under the small organized stress test. I KNEW that once the open internet hit the matchmaker the whole thing was going to implode.
I haven’t played much of the Beta yet so I don’t have any opinion on your feedback, but just keep in mind that this Beta is based on an April 2023 build and that its main objective is to stress-test their infrastructure, so there’s a chance that some of your complaints may have been tweaked by now ign.com/…/payday-3-open-beta-release-date-confirm…
And that re-release was a port of the android version (that was also a re-release)
A re-release does not always means a graphical upgrade, it just means release the game on new systems or stores
If you had the original 2004 release installed on PC it would not receive an update patch in 2014. They just released it in new platforms (Steam) and since they were releasing the game again they had to change it because they music rights were not negotiated for that release
I just hate that parts have to be unlocked in the shop. With the limited mission choice I never want to buy anything, because what if I need the money to buy something I like more after the next mission? Feels like false choice
Ryza is great!! I only played the first one though so take all of this with a grain of salt.
The combat is not at all like Genshin or BOTW. It's "real time" but actually turn based. Characters will have basic attacks/skills/items, think Pokemon style combat, but each time they use one it starts a real-time cooldown before they can attack again.
The combat is actually quite simple IMO and not too engaging. But that's good, because what it's meant to be is a stat check for the items you make.
Speaking of which, the main gemaplay loop isn't like your average RPG. You go out and gather resources, then you make items with them, then you go defeat enemies with those items to get their drops or unlock areas with better resources, rinse and repeat. But the most fun part of that loop, and the one you'll spend the most time on, is the crafting aspect.
You know how in the anime Ryza uses the cauldron? That'll be 70% of your time spent in the game. The anime doesn't showcase it but the synthesis system is really complex, and very fun when you get into it. Though I personally prefer Atelier Sophie's over Atelier Ryza's haha.
If you're worried about leveling mechanics, grind, etc. - there are levels but they're largely irrelevant.
I absolutely love the two games and I didn't think anyone who hasn't played the games would enjoy the anime. So maybe that's a good indication for you?
First game is a cute and sweet game about crafting and small adventures. If you like crafting, you would enjoy the game.
Second game was like the first game but with more real plot and better combat.
Oh, obviously Wild Hearts if you haven’t tried that yet. I don’t know if it has crossplay but it’s a newer MH clone with some interesting new mechanics. I found it to be just okay but it might scratch the itch for you.
