If I can't meet the deadline, I will step down from leading the project and transfer full rights over the repository and instance to the contributors.
I respect you entirely but this is a bit dramatic. Not all projects can be on time due to complications and no one is asking you to step down. Please just do what is necessary - you're doing fantastic!
I like having both unlockable extra fighters (a reward for your dedication to the game) AND having post-launch roster expansions.
For me the problem with the latter comes with highly aggressive monetization practices. Give me a fighters pack with multiple new fighters and alternate costumes at a reasonable price and that feels like adding value to the product (example: SSBU). Price me out at expensive single fighters and single costumes and you can go fuck right off. Battle Passes and FOMO can likewise fuck right off. Anything that requires me to work to unlock something I paid for (in this genre) should be included in the base game as a reward.
The second I saw a focus on bosses with life bars, estus flasks and stagger gauges I was out. Been a fan since the ps2 days and was extremely disappointed
I really enjoyed The Planet Crafter! It's a crafting game bringing a barren world to fully lush environment. Lakes will form, grasses start to grow. It's very peaceful and visually appealing.
Gone Home is pretty neat. I usually need secondary gameplay loop to placate my short attention span but this one gripped me through presentation and atmosphere alone.
Thanks, I wondered about that. Outer wilds it is :) They didn't release for linux or Mac unfortunately, but I see that people are having success running it with the WINE translation layer.
It’s even worse apparently. Apparently someone looked at where the coins are going, and the coins are going to the 1337x admins, and the uploader is just getting a cut of those coins. Which explains why the admins are unlikely to really care because they’re profiting off their users.
I have severe trust issues with any kind of pirated software so I basically never download it as a result, and shit like this is why. Even private trackers and “trusted” groups aren’t enough for me to download most software.
@ernest - just a heads up that I'm experiencing the same bug - notifications from blocked accounts. Wouldn't normally be an issue, but we've got a couple of trolls that like to go back to old threads and keep replying to try and bait a response.
Ah, we finally got to the point of "anyone who disagrees with me is a troll." Took longer than I thought. This thread is becoming a great way to populate my blocklist.
Nope, just don't wanna deal with fucktards after I've blocked them. Shouldn't have to deal with them 2-3 weeks later popping up on my notifications - not a big ask. Dunno how you got offended seeing as I have no idea who you are.
Forgive me for boosting my own thread; I just want to make sure this tutorial is visible on "hot", since this is a potential fix to a problem a lot of people are having.
I’ll second the recommendation of Dorfromantik, and I’ll also add Islanders, which has a similar vibe but different visuals and gameplay.
In both cases, you’re given pieces that need to be placed on the map in order to score points, and that’s the extent of a round, which makes it very easy to play for a couple of minutes, then put it down until later.
Gonna be a bit of an out there recommendation but old Popcap games are available on Steam. They’re good casual games if you don’t mind the lack of challenge. I personally like PvZ, Zuma Deluxe and Feeding Frenzy 2
