I just got into it again. I played through 7 and put it away. Begrudgingly bought 8 for the kids and decided it was the same game. Started playing with the wife because she was into it suddenly, just in time for the dlc.
Sounds Like fraud to me. The Missing Link is the Publicity and Sponsoring for Girard (His Brother) and His Events.
They seem to kind of wanted to dodge this bullet by Not mishandling the Money directly, but the Publicity for the Streamer himself Kind of pays for the Event as well as mishandling the sponsored equipment.
Attention equals money on YouTube
No reaction or Statement whatsover also seems like getting legally ready for the fight to come.
Is this bcz they found out nobody wants to play a black flag game without the black flag part? Trailer got a really poor reception so they tried to address the criticism?
I just subscribed for 4 or so years ahead at original prices. Will decide in 4 years if it’s still worth it, but for me the free games are easily worth the price of entry.
I’m not sure it really needs to be debated - prices have gone up, they raised prices. Either pay or don’t pay. It’s no big deal at end of day.
Only thing that is keeping me from buying a ps5 is the update times. I have a ps4pro and i once had to wait 5 fucking hours for it to update a few games (i think 10 or so)even with a ssd installed. Did that change with the ps5 or is it still horrible?
If you’re ever stranded on a desert island, you have nothing but a computer and a bandwidth capped internet connection, download this game until your ISP comes after you and then you’ll be saved
Is this some kind of European joke I’m too American to understand? In the US the only way you’re getting internet service without a bandwidth cap is if you either pay a fortune for it or if you live so far out in the country they haven’t even invented bandwidth caps yet.
In my European country, there are no bandwidth caps for DSL or fibre connections. But if you’re not in a town (which most of us aren’t) and can only get internet via a 4g (or rarely 5g) connection, you have to live with a shitty 700GB cap, which is fucking ludicrous.
700 fucking gigabytes over 5g? That is fucking ludicrous. Around here you’re lucky to get a 7gb cap on a 5g plan but I think some people have cellular caps as high as 40gb.
I was talking about broadband at home via a 4g/5g router, not on a phone. They offer plans specifically for people who want internet at home, but who can’t get DSL/fibre.
Phones usually have a lower cap, like 50>200GB. I get 50GB with my phone provider for instance.
Microsoft upped the Gamepass price on the basis that it would allow for bigger titles. Honestly I think they are delivering on that with Starfield and Forza Motorsport amongst others. EA Play inclusion also adds value as does having the 2 out of the 3 most recent AC chapters. Ubisoft + can go suck a dick though, I want Valhalla and eventually Mirage on Gamepass.
Someone told me this a week ago and I think it's a perfect summary of what happened:
disliking cyberpunk is an opinion people who don't form opinions have. I'm sure there are people who had glaring technical issues ruin their playthrough and that's fair. But for most of them it's just a fear of clowns/ hatred of pineapple pizza mouth sound they can make.
I agree only a little. The game got more flak than it deserved. It was mostly a good game.
BUT CDPR brought this on themselves by building up massive hype with excessive promises they in the end were not able to deliver on. In addition they stubbornly tried to get a next gen game on last gen consoles which also failed hard.
I think a lot of the stuff that went wrong was management and marketing related and could have been avoided.
It was a literal slideshow on past gen consoles and they knew that so they tried to prevent reviewers from warning people. Then happily took full price from consumers for it.
Literally no amount of flak would be enough for that shady shit.
I had it at launch on ps4 and I enjoyed it for the most part. I just endured the low frame rate because it was near the end of the ps4 life cycle and it seemed every game coming out for ps4 at the time had a shitty frame rate, so I never considered it an issue unique to Cyberpunk.
Any product that releases in such a poor state and expects full price definitely deserves the hate. The game was unplayable on half the platforms it released on for months.
Nah, it wasn't removed for technical reasons; Sony removed it because CDPR went behind their back and blanket-offered refunds. Which was the right thing for CDPR to do from a consumer-friendly perspective and from a PR perspective, but they should have communicated with Sony more first seeing as refunds on PlayStation go through Sony's store. I thought it was a bad look for Sony, though, personally.
That's not to excuse Cyberpunk 2077's performance on consoles in any way - they deserve flak for that.
