I had a lot of good emulating it on PC with a PS5/4 Controller emulating the Cursor with the touchpad. I bet you could use Gyro to also reproduce the same controls 3D all stars though
This is an older pull, but the Army of Two series was a ton of fun. Coop third person shooters with no more plot than your average action movie. It’s great, lol
Borderlands. The first one. The game is amazing by yourself and slightly better with friends. It’s not meant to be worse either way. It’s just a lot of fun.
The later BL games were made the same way, but I haven’t found any of the sequels (/“Pre-Sequel”) to be as engaging as the original. They are bigger and more ambitious, though, with BL2 being a fan favorite. I just really like the Soldier (Roland) from the first game. The other games don’t have a character I like playing as much as him, so I’d rather join the original rather than settle for a lesser character.
Actually, the best co-op game is Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It’s played with your left hand and your right hand. I’m being a bit of a smartass, but technically it does qualify as co-op because two characters on the screen are being independently controlled and they must work together. But it is specifically designed to be played by one person. Your dominant hand should control the older brother, with the analog stick moving him and either trigger doing the action, whatever that may be (it’s basically a one-button game, plus the stick). Your other hand controls the younger brother, same thing. So naturally the older brother runs straight and does what you expect but the little brother tends to stumble and waver. All intentional. Also, don’t bother with the remake. It breaks a few things and honestly doesn’t look much better. Different art style, not better. Just play the original. You can get it on GOG on sale all the time for like $2-3. Also, it’ll take ~4 hours to complete and you’ll probably never want to play it again (but recommend it to everyone). I actually bought the remake (mistake) and had my wife play it. For the hell of it, I speed ran both of them (this was on Xbox) for the achievements. Then I did the same on the original. Interestingly, you do not have to complete the game to get all the achievements! You don’t even have to complete the final fight, or do the climactic scene before the final fight. Before you’re even aware the climactic scene is coming, you sit on a bench and blip, there’s the last achievement, if you’re doing an Achievement% run, that’s when you call time. (I’m not a competitive speed runner. I just did the runs to pop the achievements before uninstalling them.)
Seeing as you liked Chaos Theory and look like you have access to a PS2 the co-op campaign in Splinter Cell: Double Agent (OG Xbox/PS2 version developed by Ubisoft Montreal) also tends to get good reviews. I haven’t played it myself though.
You know how romance novels are mostly popular with women for various reasons?
Porn games are that, but as an interactive picture book. Not a bad thing, I just think it’s funny that most guys need to see them boobies instead of reading about them.
I’ve been playing Battlefield-like Wild Assault, and each time I die, the difficulty of reviving me helps me to realize how out of position I was. Other times when I was popping from cover and got hit by a rusher, a teammate quickly retaliates and then revives me.
The game also has some crazy moments with the healer’s ultimate, which revives people they’re standing on while the healer can keep shooting.
Yeah nah there is no gameplay there its pure coomer shit. Match 3 puzzle game, thats not a genre the only games that use that has their core gameplay are designed to be scams.
It’s certainly what the majority of the genre became with the advent of mobile gaming, as with so many other simple puzzle games. But the original Bejeweled and Puzzle Quest were both excellent and huge hits, and were complete games before the microtransaction garbage that came later.
It’s a nice genre for relaxing and turning off your brain, similar to a Tetris or a Bust-A-Move. I know there have to be titty and microtransaction filled variants of both of those, does it invalidate them as puzzle game genres?
Yeah coomer games are similar to mobile games. Theyre puzzle games that are designed to be extremely easy to make players feel good. They are technically still puzzle games just bad ones.
Maybe the match 3 stuff, but there are a lot of ‘adult’ games that are beyond that. Go play The Last Sovereign and tell me it isn’t better than all the final fantasies, I dare you.
I was going to mention The Last Sovereign in this thread. It’s a little bit hard to recommend because it’s like, barely modified RPG maker sprites and some serviceable art for sex scenes, along with the difficulty. However that game is a damn magnum opus.
I haven’t yet. The trailers, reviews, and break down on the Steam page sold me on its concept since its release. Just been waiting on a sale or deal to have a go at it. Gator is cute, and I’m glad to have a game that I can just chill with. Tiny Terry’s is just fun all around. I started with them since I feel Banishers will involve more time on it.
Some of the negative reviews for Eternal Strands over on Steam are hilarious. Because the guys that don’t outright hate being forced to play as a woman take issue with the lack of het romance options. Specifically with having to choose between the “bishie elf” or a “giant blue walrus-bear”.
And they also feel that the walrus-bear romance is less emotionally impactful than the other options.
