I’ve hated them from the moment they started. I was looking forward to it before any game had it, thinking it would be like getting well made mods for like fifty cents or a dollar. But then it ends up being a color swap for $15 and shit. Low effort, and expensive for what you’re actually getting.
Let me just go back to being able to drop a file into a folder and now I am Spider-Man, like I could do in Quake.
Give me back reasonably priced expansions that were like an entire sequel for half the price of the base game instead of $30 for a single dungeon.
And while we’re at it: give me back server executables and a browser so I can host my own shit and find good, moderated places to hang out.
I haven’t bought a game with microtransactions in several years, even if I was interested in the game. I know my resistance probably doesn’t accomplish much, but I simply refuse to support that business model. I don’t want to put up with pressure to pay “just a little bit more”. Day 1 DLC isn’t a guaranteed gamebreaker for me if I already really want the game, but it definitely reduces my interest and I’ve passed over several games before because of it.
I wholeheartedly support expansions so long as their content justifies their pricetag.
I know my resistance probably doesn’t accomplish much
It does. Besides not giving that game your time and money, you're instead putting it in some other game that's making what you want, and they probably need your time and money more to keep doing that.
Others have already recommended it but I want to pitch in; my 8bitdo pro is the best I’ve used (others I have are the DS4, xbox, a few Logitechs including the submarine one, and a fancy-ass Astro).
I’ve been thinking about the same thing. I know that the chairs I’d like to get are like $700-1000, but I can’t justify that cost while not consistently making money (full-time school for now).
I do spend a lot of time sitting at my desk, so I guess if you break down the price by hours in use, it’s not ridiculous to pay so much for a chair that lasts a decade.
Hopefully I can find a solid refurbish for around $400 eventually… but probably not.
I’ll take a deeper look at it when I have time. Heads up though, I tried using it through Firefox on Android with dark mode, and the black text blended with the black background, lol. probably not anything to do with your code or whatever though.
I’m a fan of the gamesir G7 SE myself. It’s very affordable. The hall effect sticks feel smoother and more responsive. Also they don’t get stick drift which is why I got mine.
I got the same controller for the same reason after my Elite Series 2 got stick drift. Really responsive sticks and it doesn't feel too cheap even with the lower price.
Anyone have recommendations for an executive style chair with a high back? I assume the reason why I can’t find them anywhere is a combination of them being a larger box by volume and something about ergonomics but I love reclining in a chair with a high slightly wide back that doesn’t put all the weight onto my feet like ‘racer’ style chairs tend to do.
No idea about $$$ and if they even ship to your location but I got my hands on a Backforce One Plus for 500€ and that thing is day and night compared to my last. Arm rests are a little bit wobbly but the rest… dead gods I hope it lasts for the rest of my life.
That’s from someone with a lot of back pain for… reasons.
