Glad to hear that. Although I’m not fast reader (not even in my mother tongue) I like reading when it is meaningful. I chewed through Planescape: Torment after all…
As for time, I’m not strictly limited to exactly 1 hour. It’s just I simply can’t play 5 hours straight like a teenager can… so one hour was an estimate. Sometimes it’s an hour, sometimes it’s two.
After all it looks DE should be ok and this short burst shouldn’t spoil it. Thank you.
I manage to play usually about 4 nights a week, so about day or two between sessions. This should be okay.
Reading all the comments, it looks like DE might be great pick for this interrupted play through. Glad to hear that, because everyone says it’s a great game.
Even though I have games like Skyrim or Kingdom Come at my account, it’s almost impossible to dig into those with this kind of gaming schedule. LA Noire was really great game for this.
Nice, thank you. This should be very helpful in case I won’t have time to play at all. Which is what sometimes happen, life is life, so you never know…
Well, since I’m not native speaker I sometimes tend to miss some words/context without reading “subtitles” during voiceovers. On the other hand I’m glad there’s voiceover because it usually helps with immersion.
Fail to progress reminds me of my playthrough of Fallout 1 with very low INT character. Some conversation were priceless. It was usually things like “Mmmhm, unga bunga, huh” from my character and then sigh from the NPC like “Oh no, another village idiot…” I highly recommend to at least check some of these low int conversations on youtube - hillarious.
I’d be happy to get og Unreal Tournament in UE5 too. I’ve sink plenty of hours into the game back then in multiplayer with my friends. No time for that now, but still would be nice nostalgia trip.
The problem is original UT was one of a kind, at least for me. It had perfect balance of weapons, map design and overal game speed. Newer UTs were still pretty decent games, but felt very different to the original. Adding vehicles was fun for a while, but made the game totally different in its pace and everything. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia speaking for me, but I still feel the original was the best UT game by far.
As for Unreal itself, can’t comment much on that one as I’ve never really finished it. Somehow it just did not click with me.
Discworld might be absolutely genius if done well. And of all the dev studios I believe Larian would be the best pick. Maybe throw in some co-op with Obsidian and I’m sold!
Well, if we’re talking Path of Exile live service style, it’s completely fine. The game is perfectly playable and enjoyable for free and wallet opens you cosmetics and some nice to have features (like bigger stash etc.), basically nothing gamebreaking. I played it quite a lot on a casual level, waiting for new Diablo (not necesarilly blizzard Diablo, just the essence of the original 2). It is fun and I played it mostly for free, when I decided to spend about AA level game of money to support the devs. Nithing forced me to do so, I just enjoyed the game and wanted to support the company. And I still think it’s a great game and am looking forward to sequel.
But there’s also another live service other than this one. Like that Diablo Immortal one. I haven’t played it myself (and won’t ever do it), but the drama around it was quite a big one. And no wonder it was! Holy hell, they’re squeezing those balls hard. Even if the game was all fun and games I wouldn’t touch it with its style of microtransactions, loot gambling and other bullshittery.
If studuos are working on this second style live service, then they should probably go bankrupt straight away.
This is exactly the game that came to my mind when reading title. I loved old Mafia, but the remake? It’s not a bad game, but it lost like 90% of atmosphere original had. Like those cop chases that are utter joke that doesn’t belong to the game.
Exactly this. Steam has one huge benefit for players: it made gaming pretty cheap. If you don’t need every game day 1 and you are patient, you can play dirt cheap. And I mean dirt cheap.
This is not entirely true for Nintendo, which tends to hold prices way higher. At least from the quick glance I made couple years ago when I was thinking about Switch.
I claim every free game Epic offers, not because I actually want to play them. I claim all those games because it costs Epic money. And that is my goal.
I never stated I’m not acting silly. It’s true I don’t really like Epic nowadays so why not state my opinion this way? It’s a bit of a twist in “vote with your wallet” after all.
The games are not free, someone has to pay for them, at least something. And if it ain’t me…
Tell that to my TES: Oblivion character I picked only non combat skills as primary. Everything was fine when exploring landscape and forests, leveling peacefuly my alchemy, alteration or stealth and lockpicking. It was nice. Until I got to first oblivion gate and found out level scaling is a thing. Then I was f’d up pretty hard. Needless to say I never finished the game because of this.
Thought I’d share this, now that they released the DLC. Vagrus is probably not for the majority of people. It’s a very dark, extremely text heavy, trading caravan sim with combat and RPG elements....
I went to watch the video with very low expectation after your comments and yet I was still really disappointed. It looks worse than the original to me, because it lost that early 3D look due to higher res textures here and there and now it’s just hideous.
Oh come on! This was one of only two remakes anounced that I was interested in and they scratch it? Well, let’s hope at least Witcher one gets it and gets it right.
It’s because in Sapkowski’s universe witchers are mutants and normal people hate them for being different (and because they are scared too). Basically racism.
So…I’ve been increasingly struggling to run the latest games, as the age of my 6 years old desktop is starting to show, and Starfield denying my GPU just pissed me. I know it’s a bug and I can probably play it, but it’s outright the minimum for this game, and so I’d like a refresh of the worst, or should I consider a...
Don’t get me wrong. I’d love to play it too, but from stream gameplay and reviews it’s definitely NOT game worth 10/10. Is it a good game? Yes. But is it the most epic game of the decade? Definitely not.

I would say CD Projekt is somewhat similar to Larian. Or maybe I should have written was in the time of Witcher 3. Although I find Cyberpunk very nice and unique game, the hype and broken promises + state of game during release was more like Ubisoft or any other big game cashgrab company. Unfortunately. I sincerely hope Larian won’t repeat CDP’s mistakes.

I can recommend NEO Scavenger (slightly under 4k reviews). It’s hardcore survival game in post apocalypse world. I haven’t finished it yet, 'cause I always die in the process. Still very enjoyable if you’re into post-apo.
