Wholeheartedly agree with your take on CK3. Considering how greedy they are with their DLC policy, you‘d at least think they‘d be able to get proper multi-core optimizations into their engine so games don‘t grind to a halt lategame…
I did the Lingua Franca achievement in CK3 before mods etc. were allowed for it (essentially a world conquest challenge), and lategame was crazy slow while my CPU was snoozing.
Also it feels to me like the more DLCs they add the more forced/unpolished it gets, the features don’t fit in nicely, but that‘s just my personal opinion. Also lots of oversights in text when I last played.
It‘s a great game regardless which honestly should be pirated, or the base game bought and pirate the rest. The DLC policy is just batshit insane. Don‘t they even have a monthly DLC subscription for some games? Like fuck off lol
Yeah, I get that, I was just trying to say that the above is probably their reasoning in my mind. They‘re scared shitless to fuck the transition up, calling it „The Stuff You Guys Loved 2.0“ is the lowest risk move.
Especially considering it has access to DLSS, I‘m looking forward to see what Nintendo‘s first party studios can cook up with these specs. But I‘m waiting for the OLED model sometime in the future.
They wanna be very clear that this is their best-selling console ever but better, I would‘ve been surprised if they didn‘t just slap a 2 on it. There‘s so much riding on this for them.
The game has become more of a brawler‘s creed, I wish it was more about figuring out how to cleanly assassinate your target instead of leveling up to match the level of and fight a buncha goons…
The original is such a hidden gem, my absolute favorite shop managing game. Its only downside was that the main story kinda was done too quickly. Less than ten hours IIRC.
This game really does deserve a proper (good) sequel.
(Why does it say ProjectRecetter at the bottom of the menu screen lol)
