Cyberpunk had a good story and characters, and basis for a game it just was rushed lut the door unfinished. They actually care about making No Man’s Sky better and delivering on their initial promise, then surpassing it when they initially failed and let everyone down. Bethesda doesn’t care. They just want money. They aren’t going to even consider making starfield a good game unless They add an atom shop first and stuff to spend the money on
I’m at least an average intelligence guy, not a genius, but I’m not some compelete idiot. Big game companies treat me like an absolute dumb ass so I don’t bother with their trash (the games are almost always mediocre anyway full of MTX). Just sell me a full working product at a fair price and then charge me for an expansion down the road if you want. Don’t nickel and dime me or promise me.shit I know you can’t deliver. Just talk to me like a human lol
Over 600 games so there’s not much I don’t have but I grabbed that new ratchet and clank to throw at my 4090, and I got some stupid idle game I’m addicted to. Thinking of grabbing the halls of torment/brotato combo
Not to be a contrarian, the game is good, but I seriously don’t understand how it’s one of the best games ever made. Just my opinion no one asked for, but I know I can’t be alone. Only other game I can think that’s more overhyped is breath of the wild.
You’re not necessarily wrong but maybe you kind of are. I’ll explain, I played the other baldur gate games in the 90s (I still have the old school big box BG2 collectors edition), im not young or new to this style game. It’s not my favorite genre but I DO enjoy it. I played DOS2 in 2019 and loved it, baldurs gate was just over hyped after hearing everyones praise and llaying those other games i expected more. Its obviously keaps ahead of BG2 but thats an OLD game at this point… and man too many people love cod even tho it’s what I’d consider objectively not good, unlike BG3 which is an objectively good game (but over rated).
Another game I’ve played a bit of but can’t understand why it’s so successful is helldivers 2. I Def need to try it some more and see if it clicks, but it’s kind of… empty and repetitive, like cod.
Today, on February 28, nearly five years after Control’s initial launch, Remedy Entertainment, the team behind the Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and Control series, released an announcement regarding a deal between them and 505 Games, detailing a full transition to Remedy acquiring full rights to the franchise. While Remedy...
I recently got Alan wake 2 on EGS because I’m a huge Remedy head and huge fan of the first game and couldn’t contain my excitement to wait for a steam release and potentially see spoilers, and damn dude that store really is the most bare bones half assed thing ever. Even EAs store on their launcher is nicer.
If this happened I think Gabe would just say “it’s not happening, not at least the way you all want” and then we get some half life cyberchip augmented reality game in another 15 years (it is good though)
This week, it’s Alan Wake 2, which has released and scored an 89 on Metacritic, a tick below a 90, but a 92 if you’re looking on PC where its visuals can be maxed to their fullest.
Portal 2, vanilla wow when it was new, half life series.
Playing Alan wake 2 right now and all the remedy stuff is fantastic too, but Alan wake 2 is their magnum opus. Also dota, but I don’t play any more for mental health reasons 😅
Just for fun, most over rated game : breath of the wild
WoW is just pointless errands now. It’s so bad. All the things that made if fun have been removed or minimized. I don’t think I’ll ever return to it after Dragonflight. I’d rather wash my sink full of dishes than do another pointless grind. Vanilla wow back in the day was something truly special. It’s gone now, it won’t be back but I’m lucky I got to experience it before it soured.
Personally I think Bethesdas approach to their game design is EXTREMELY dated and frustrating. Also they made Fallout 76, one of the most dog shit games I ever played.
They need some new talent making decisions on their games to make them more modern. The problems they have in their games should be inexcusable from a “AAA” studio in 2023.
They really turned Cyberpunk around it’s so fun. I played maybe an hour of it on launch and was like “what is this shit”, started playing with 2.0 and the story is cool, the characters are rad, the game is beautiful, combat is fun (enemies a bit too spongey for me but not awful, better combat than witcher 3).
I just started playing COD Black Ops Cold War because I got it through my PlayStation Plus subscription and wanted to try it out. I’ve previously played some others like Modern Warfare (1 and 2) and WWII. While it always felt a bit over the top and propaganda-ish, I really liked it for the blockbuster feeling and just turning...

No more using the word dick either guys! Oh wait while we’re on it no more saying anything offensive guys, G rated at all times wouldn’t want to accidentally offend anyone.
I played a bit of payday 2 on my deck and it ran great, I’m not sure if it was using proton or what but I had no issues. I just wish the anti cheat companies would develop their stuff to work on Linux
Can you not stick close to the source material but make it all new and nicer? Lol God this place is just as pedantic as reddit and annoying as reddit. It really is a human problem and not a platform problem.
I think a company sued valve over it hence why they abruptly put them all on sale for 5$ and never made any more. I believe valve ended up winning the lawsuit though hence bumpers on the steam deck
Funny, but I think he means they want to take on the likes of Disney. Not necessarily be known for movies; but games, movies, shows, maybe even theme parks.
If any company has the ability to do it, it’s Nintendo.
Gaming in general isn’t a cheap hobby. You can get a 320$ steam deck, dock it and plug it into an old monitor add a cheap KB and mouse and you are PC gaming. Or you can spend 3,200$ on a top of the line rig. Its whatever you want to make of it. I wouldnt say its more expensive than console gaming, but you can make it one and you will get a better experience for it. Either way personally I would consider PC the best option by a fairly large margin.
For those who have pre-ordered it is already here, the rest have to wait a little longer. Starfield is finally here! Have you bought it, why or why not? If you’ve already played it, what do you think of it? We are very curious!...
I mean I thought fallout 4 was kinda mediocre to bad, and fallout 76 was awful, so I don’t really expect much from Bethesda any more. TES 6 is gonna come out and feel like a 20 year old game, not in a good way.
Okay but Bethesdas engine kinda sucks and source engine is still pretty good… Why keep something if it’s not very good, other than to save money of course.
I’m done paying anything above half off a Bethesda games since fallout 4/76 anyway, they were bad and awful.
Part of me thinks/hopes they also aren’t putting too much attention on it because they want their upcoming games to be more on the quality level of witcher 3 than CP2077. At least I hope.
How did you get it running on your steam deck I’m actually almost done with a Witcher 3 playthrough right now just finishing up the last DLC and then I wanted to replay the first two but saw there’s some issues
Damn I have it on steam, but I bet I can pick it up on sale for dirt cheap on GOG when I wanna play it. Maybe by then the steam version will work. Thanks
Steam deck is a great way to get into PC gaming if you don’t have a lot of money or a PC. It can run a lot of games. Enough that you won’t get bored any time soon.
Eh maybe if you’re hands on and want to take the time to find the deals on the parts. You could just dock a steam deck and plug in a key board mouse and monitor.
