Cyberpunk had a good story and characters, and basis for a game it just was rushed lut the door unfinished. They actually care about making No Man’s Sky better and delivering on their initial promise, then surpassing it when they initially failed and let everyone down. Bethesda doesn’t care. They just want money. They aren’t going to even consider making starfield a good game unless They add an atom shop first and stuff to spend the money on
I’m at least an average intelligence guy, not a genius, but I’m not some compelete idiot. Big game companies treat me like an absolute dumb ass so I don’t bother with their trash (the games are almost always mediocre anyway full of MTX). Just sell me a full working product at a fair price and then charge me for an expansion down the road if you want. Don’t nickel and dime me or promise me.shit I know you can’t deliver. Over 600 games so there’s not much I don’t have but I grabbed that new ratchet and clank to throw at my 4090, and I got some stupid idle game I’m addicted to. Thinking of grabbing the halls of torment/brotato combo
You’re not necessarily wrong but maybe you kind of are. I’ll explain, I played the other baldur gate games in the 90s (I still have the old school big box BG2 collectors edition), im not young or new to this style game. It’s not my favorite genre but I DO enjoy it. I played DOS2 in 2019 and loved it, baldurs gate was just over hyped after hearing everyones praise and llaying those other games i expected more. Its obviously keaps ahead of BG2 but thats an OLD game at this point… and man too many people love cod even tho it’s what I’d consider objectively not good, unlike BG3 which is an objectively good game (but over rated).
Another game I’ve played a bit of but can’t understand why it’s so successful is helldivers 2. I Def need to try it some more and see if it clicks, but it’s kind of… empty and repetitive, like cod.
Not to be a contrarian, the game is good, but I seriously don’t understand how it’s one of the best games ever made. Just my opinion no one asked for, but I know I can’t be alone. Only other game I can think that’s more overhyped is breath of the wild.
