‘Call of Duty’ Doesn’t Just Depict Bad History—It’s Pro-War Propaganda (progressive.org)

I just started playing COD Black Ops Cold War because I got it through my PlayStation Plus subscription and wanted to try it out. I’ve previously played some others like Modern Warfare (1 and 2) and WWII. While it always felt a bit over the top and propaganda-ish, I really liked it for the blockbuster feeling and just turning...

WarmSoda,

You thought it depicted reality?

WarmSoda,

True. The teenage mutant ninja turtles colored my perception of giant crime fighting amphibious creatures when I was young…

WarmSoda,

Because it’s the same thing.
Are you unable to distinguish fiction from reality? Do you also believe GI Joe was real? Does Grand Thieft Auto make you want to steal cars and beat up prostitutes?

It’s a video game. You have much much bigger problems to worry about if you’re having trouble disconnecting from it in your mind.

WarmSoda,

You apparently have much much bigger problems, my guy.

WarmSoda,

No I’m saying it’s a videogame.

All this was hashed out 20 years ago, man. You’re late to the party. Sorry.

WarmSoda, (edited )

You still never answered my question.
You thought it depicted reality?

WarmSoda,

I’m your buddy, pal!

WarmSoda, (edited )

It started during the NES and SNES days. JRPGs are a completely different style than western RPGs, that’s why the term was used.

WarmSoda,

Hey wait a minute, this guy is trying to trick us into getting out of our chairs! Get them!!

WarmSoda, (edited )

Is it better than the first one? I struggle to play it for too long. The break mechanic is just too much for every single battle. And the stories are super basic boring fairytales without the weird parts of fairytales.

Except for the dancer, when one of her friends randomly yells out of nowhere “Yes, I became A WHORE!” lol

WarmSoda,

Thank you. Yeah I’m playing FF9 right now and the battle system is just so much better it’s ridiculous.
Some day I’ll finish Octopath 1, it sounds like I’ll be even more bored with 2 so I’ll skip that one.

WarmSoda,

“dum dum 666” at it again.
You keep being you, bro

WarmSoda,

The Oblivion remaster (originally set for fiscal year 2022).

Don’t hold your breath

WarmSoda,

Bethesda isn’t making Skyblivion

WarmSoda,

That’s a very good point I didn’t even consider.

WarmSoda,

Oh shit, you’re right. They had a huge amount of photoshoots or ads or something all dressed up in cowboy clothes lol

WarmSoda,

Yup. Wednesday is national cowboy day.
Every week.

The Elder Scrolls VI Is at Least Five Years Away, and Is Likely to Launch on PC, Xbox Series X|S Only (wccftech.com) angielski

Despite previous reports revealing the game's 2026 release window, The Elder Scrolls VI is at least five years away and is likely to release, unsurprisingly, only on PC, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S....

WarmSoda,

You must be new to Bethesda games.

WarmSoda,

Todd Howard has said ES 6 will be his last Elder Scrolls. That makes me really sad. I was hoping Starfield would be his last game.

I honestly think the only way ES6 could be good would be if the writers and environmental artists of Elder Scrolls Online are a huge part of it. The core Bethesda team has shown they can’t write for shit anymore. And please please can the animators.

WarmSoda,

Wat. No.
Bethesda has had a policy of streamlining thier games and making sure the player can win everything since Oblivion. They only “play it safe” to make sure the player never loses. That’s all it is.

And it’s boring.

WarmSoda,

“You don’t agree with me so you must have a mental illness”.

Nice

WarmSoda,

He’s a Bethesda coder

WarmSoda,

All they have are Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Well, and now Starfield.

WarmSoda, (edited )

Lots of people want the game to be better and are upset it is what it is.

WarmSoda,

Dude. They already spent two years developing it. What else do you want from them?

How would someone, hypothetically, pirate Baldur's Gate 3 without being able to torrent? angielski

I am interested in how pirates on the internet (which i am not) would get there hands on the files to a game, just, for example, Baldur’s Gate 3, without torrenting? Now, I have heard tell of a place where these nefarious no-gooders would do this, for example gog-games.to. But, once they have acquired the file, what steps to...

WarmSoda,

Yeah. I think they also used an emulator. I don’t remember which game/system it was though.

It’s like Disney releasing a Micky Mouse movie, buts it’s actually Felix the Cat.

WarmSoda,

“oops. I forgot to remove the giant lit up billboard”.

You’re probably right. I think it’s funny that these giant studios all have the wall with a physical copy of each release behind glass, but they can never seen to find them when they need it.

WarmSoda,

The engine works by having square areas of playable in-game sections called cells. Unless the devs created enough cells between planets, and have them in the same world space, for a player to travel in that’s not possible.

WarmSoda,

I see. In that case I fully expect someone to make a ‘open cities’ mod for systems. If you can reach the billboards it should be possible to create a transition to planet space. Maybe.

WarmSoda,

I got Madden 22 for free and for awhile I was enjoying it. It was my first Madden game since the 360. So I start going to forums for the game, and every single post was about how bad the game is, highlighting ridiculous bugs, shitty AI, missing features.

Then details about Madden 23 started to come out and everyone that was tearing 22 apart was absolutely in love with every little thing that was shown.

I stopped reading those forums. It was surreal.

WarmSoda,

At least civ tries new things. But yeah the constant release of a new game with less features is pretty common.

WarmSoda,

Can a parent use duck tape to wrap things together?

WarmSoda,

The title of this post and article literally say they patented it.

WarmSoda,

Oh shit this is an official DLC? Nice

WarmSoda,

This isn’t a dlc for Stellaris? It looks exactly like Stellaris, with a dlc race.

WarmSoda,

I think the shrines that take everything away from you are this games version of that.

WarmSoda,

No plans for DLCs on this console.
They’re absolutely going to re release it for the next system.

WarmSoda,

Well yeah. That’s what a re release is.

WarmSoda,

Yeah I hated that.
But I’m really glad they included almost all of the toy figures and dlc armor in the sequel. You don’t ever see that in games.

WarmSoda,

The game, Wages. They are going to re release the game on the new system. And then have dlc for it.

WarmSoda, (edited )

A lot of publishers remove the original game when they release a ‘remaster’. Burnout Paradise, Metro Last Light, etc
