Kernel level anti-cheats don’t appear to work any better than other anti-cheats. Hell, I can’t think of any 3rd party anti-cheat framework that everyond and their brother seems to license out that actually stops cheating to a significant degree. All the games I’ve ever played where it is rare to see a cheater in, if at all, all use in-house solutions.
Damn near every time travel game I’ve played has ended where you basically stop yourself from starting the whole plot so that none of it ever happens.
In the sense that everything you did was pointless: BlastCorps. It’s a “puzzle” game about destroying everything in the way of an out of control truck carrying a world-ending nuke on it, with the goal of having it safely crash into the ocean… But it still blows up and destroys the world at the end. 😩
Are you kidding? Batman has to deal with way stronger freaks in Gotham every single day than Raiden does in the entire MGS series. This includes the metal gears themselves.
Same as anything else, really. Find local tournaments or player hosted events that are smaller. Find out what the actual competition is like, and practice to rise above them.
And if you’re like half the people commenting here, you might boot the game up and immediately say “I ain’t reading all that” and go fire up Call of Duty.
Fr. Some dude up in here basically implied DE isn’t a good game or a proper RPG, but they are so vague about their complaints it doesn’t even sound like they ever actually played the game, they just want to be contrarian.

Oof. As an older gamer, this hurt to read. I know them for far better. Though maybe they’ll revisit Heretic or Hexen the way ID brought back Doom under M$.
I think if you beat him in a fist fight, Kim is low-key impressed because he hates racist pricks. That’s one of the few things I have not managed to actually do yet, tho.
