That last line makes me worried we’re going to be losing a main cast member

As long as it’s not one of the twins 😭

Thancred dying could be interesting if they want to bring Ryne back. I think Urianger is the obvious choice though, since he finished his arc with Moenbryda’s family

I was going to recommend Worlds Adrift, but looking it up for this post is the way I discovered it was shut down 5 years ago lol

I did not realize it had been that long since I played it. Sadge

Looks great! Signed up for the beta!

Proof that when you give devs the time they need, they make a game people actually like

If you've done the Final Fantasy marathon did you include FF XI? Was it worth it? angielski

I’ve been playing through all the numbered games and its been great. I could write an essay or two on any of them. In general I’m only including base games and no expansions or DLC so it wouldn’t be a huge undertaking to beat 11, but I’m trying to see if it’s worth it from others who have done the marathon....

Have you done Eureka? If you love Eureka, you’ll be fine. Otherwise, id recommend playing it separately on its own

Infynis,
@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

The way they see it, their best interests don’t involve those of the game studio. Buying a studio does two things. It gives them a new business to latch onto and suck all the money out of quickly, and it eliminates competition in the gaming industry. Killing the studio still meets both of those goals. And then they just move onto the next one.

@Infynis@midwest.social avatar

Hey, they released a patch to fix that! It only takes 80 hours now! Lol

Baldur’s Gate 3 and Balatro. Also Baldur’s Gate 3, and another playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 lol

Is the Leatherman Signal designed for networking? I’d love if mine could cut and strip wires

I haven’t played the game yet. Not sure if I will. But I’ve seen some gameplay, and, honestly, it bothers me too, and not just because beating up Pokemon feels bad. My main problem is that it could have been done in a better way that would make me feel less bad lol

The pals should be dangerous! Even the basic starter ones!

I play a Pokemon TTRPG where you can beat up Pokemon with your bare hands if you want. The difference is, they’re not helpless. A trainer without any investment in their personal combat skills is roughly a suitable match for a low level Ratata. Even in the video games, there’s a reason Professor Birch got cornered by a couple Zigzagoon. It’s the same reason you’re not allowed in the long grass without a Pokemon.

Pokemon are magical monsters that can just straight up kill you. There’s a big difference between fighting something like that, on basically equal footing, and punching a helpless stuffed animal.

Mine was $1! I love it. I just bought a wireless mouse and keyboard for it, because it’s honestly just a great way to stream stuff. Now my computer can be in my living room, and my office at the same time!

When I mean “specific,” I mean things like something dedicated to a certain genre, a certain video game, to gaming suggestions, to asking whether you should buy a certain game… anything that isn’t just one catch-all for any video gaming topic. So I’m not including the various !games@instance or !gaming@instance links....

Sea of Stars! It’s great so far. I only like turn based RPGs once in a blue moon, and this one really hooked me

When it comes to the corporate world, your purchases are like your vote in politics. WotC has done some stuff that lots of people (myself included) don’t like. They’ve also done some stuff people really do like.

The situation around the open gaming license was the perfect example. People boycotted D&D beyond, and other directly related products, but very few boycotted the D&D movie, because people wanted to discourage Wizards from the specific license changes, but didn’t want to discourage making good movies for our niche audience.

Obviously not all companies have separate things like this. Activision/Blizzard are more monolithic, and so selectively boycotting them is harder.

All this said, there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, so if any boycott is costing you too much, monetarily, mental health-wise, etc., you shouldn’t feel bad for breaking it
