Grandwolf319,

TLDR: it’s the hot gas filaments between galaxies that they confirmed

Grandwolf319,

I’ll do you one better, a guitar solo comes on.

Hades’ third phase is a banger.

Grandwolf319,

Unpopular opinion:

Witcher 4 won’t be as good as Witcher 3 cause the third one was very good.

So no matter who they chose, it’s probably gonna be underwhelming.

Grandwolf319,

Although I really liked cyberpunk and I’ve finished both that and Witcher 3 and cyberpunk is my favourite…

Really? I thought Witcher 3 was iconic, like it broke out of the regular gaming culture and into the mainstream, idk if cyberpunk did that.

My world would be better if Witcher 4 is better than 3 but I have doubts

Grandwolf319,

Astronomers have generally thought that massive black holes at the centers of galaxies expel gas in jets of material only during their formative years, when the central black hole is gobbling up gas and stars and producing lots of radiation. This makes them stand out as what astronomers call active galactic nuclei (AGN), or quasars.

If, as the new study suggests, the ionized hydrogen halo around galaxies is more diffuse, but also more extensive, than thought, this implies that the central black holes may actually become active at other times in their lives.

I love how we keep finding more and more about the role that black holes play in our universe.

Grandwolf319,

Ah yes, the one and only obstacle to us colonizing mars.

Grandwolf319,

Damn this pic made me think of the struggle and how we wished for there to be a good format without this problem.

Then came bluray, famous for being scratch proof, and then we all decided optical disks aren’t as easy as little thumb drives.

It’s just not as satisfying as burning something new and then labeling it.

Grandwolf319,

Wait, how else are you suppose to beat boss fights without just keep trying until you do?

Grandwolf319,

As the meme implies, stop and think about how to change tactics.

Uhhh no? Especially if your playing a game that your suppose to try multiple times like hades.

I guess it depends on the game but imo the best boss fights are puzzles (god of war style) where you don’t change tactics, you keep playing until you figure out the puzzle.

Idk if I call that changing tactic, I just keep trying until I figure it out.

Grandwolf319,

I fully believe it, been thinking of playing metal gear 5 now that it’s finally a good age for me to play it as a patient gamer.

Also, I finished Witcher 3, it taking closer to 10 years sounds about right for me for an RPG.

Grandwolf319,

As a result, no one on the team has the courage to express their opinion. Under Gołębiewski, GOG typically makes business decisions that may be profitable in the short term, but may not contribute to the platform’s long-term growth.

Why half ass things when your the good guy?

Grandwolf319,

I got GTA V for free on the epic store.

I kind of want to play it but I don’t want to download their launcher.

Hmmmm…. 🏴‍☠️

Grandwolf319,

Wouldn’t I have to install epic game store though?

I hate when a PC game is ONLY available on Epic Games store (lemmy.world) angielski

Nothing more disappointing to me than seeing a game I might enjoy… and then it’s only available on PC on Epic Games store. Why can’t it be available on Epic, Xbox game store and Steam? It’s so annoying, like you have no choice but to use Epic… which I would literally do ANYTHING not to use.

Grandwolf319, (edited )

So I own some games on epic store cause they were free and I said fuck it I’ll sign up for free games.

Haven’t installed the epic games store yet, and it’s been years. The benefits don’t outweigh the drawbacks, clearly.

Grandwolf319,

None, I told myself that I have to first play my last paid games at least once before I buy a new one.

Grandwolf319,

I mean, sure, go ahead.

It’s one of the most benign things he does and it’s not like it’s gonna affect existing good game.

Grandwolf319,

I don’t play either of these games.

This post made me happy.

Grandwolf319,

Finally, was worried I wasn’t gonna find this one.

Grandwolf319,

I mean, if your gonna go for the worse of it all, 4chan is right there.

Grandwolf319,

Ah, this is why I come to lemmy.

Thank you kind user!

Grandwolf319,

“Best I can do I more cliffhangers”

-valve probably

Grandwolf319,

I think it’s cause of envy. Every once in a while, a game comes that just seems to do a lot of things and become very very successful (like red dead and gta).

Then these other studios get FOMO and turn to a go big or go home attitude.

So what you end up with is this inflation of features when only a few devs can land a big game like that.

Grandwolf319,

“Tanked”

Checks graph

19% is a hit but I wouldn’t call it tanked.

Some stocks are just volatile. Here is the full history:

Grandwolf319, (edited )

It’s unfortunately standard with all stock graphs :/

It genuinely upsets me that Valve spent their time and resources on another Dota variation angielski

Like for many other people, Valve single player experiences were one of my favorite of all time growing up. I considered both Half-Life and Portal to be masterpieces. It’s true they’ve always been distracted with multiplayer games as well, things like Counter-Strike or Team Fortress and I did play them for sure, because I...

Grandwolf319,

Single player games are less and less profitable these days. What the original commenter could have said is, these days, there isn’t much money to be made telling a story when fortnight makes so much money by doing nothing but cosmetics.

Grandwolf319,

And it’s gonna continue until regulations recognize how these games are psychologically terrible for kids and have gambling mechanics.

Grandwolf319,

Dude, where have you been? Look how little good single player games rockstar is putting out.

It’s just harder and less profitable.

I rather have one great red dead 2 than 5 forgettable ones; looking at your assassins creed, used to be one of my favourites and I haven’t played anything after black flag.

If I ever get VR stuff, I would want to play Alyx but if they had 5 okayish games instead, it would be a nope from me.

I still haven’t even played black mesa even though i bought it, I like fewer but better choices especially since I’m more busy in this stage of life.

Grandwolf319,

I would argue it’s more like multiplayer games are just much more profitable instead of not being able to turn a profit as well on single player games. And it is very easy to prove that some multiplayer games are cash cows.

That’s the thing about capitalism though, it’s not about choosing something profitable, it’s choosing the max profit option.

Thankfully there are enough passionate people and good companies that a savvy gamer can find ways plenty of single player games.

Devs should not be "forced to run on a treadmill until their mental or physical health breaks", says publisher of Manor Lords, citing how gamers seem to be trained to expect endless content work now (www.eurogamer.net) angielski

This really does not sound healthy. The game is released, for a certain amount of money. If people don’t like what they get for their money, they simply should not buy it....

Grandwolf319,

Weird post. I thought we were all aware of the enshitification in gaming, they had a head start on the rest of the tech industry.

Grandwolf319,

I thought it was a Christian game…

Grandwolf319,

By shitty hat do you mean tf2?

Cause that’s all I played during the rise of microTXs. To me, the way valve went about it was literally the line between monetization and not ruining the game.

I thought that meant it can be done, all it proved looking back is publicly traded companies suck!!

Grandwolf319,

You know what, this makes me so happy that I’ll give ‘em that:

“Good job capitalism!”

Now I got to go wash my fingers for typing that.
