They could have done nothing and been okay because Paradox apparently put their competitor Sims game on indefinite hold so we’re still stuck with just EA’s bullshit instead of having a choice of which life sim with an outrageous amount of paid for DLC we want to play.
Thats exactly it. I think it was Phil Spencer who said he’d want Microsoft to buy Valve if the chance came up. In the same sentence he said he would buy Nintendo, too. In the same way a Gen Z’er might say “I’d like to buy a house someday.”
I went from getting everything to maybe playing up to 3 new games a year about the same time the PS3 came out. I know what I like and what I want, and the vast majority of games do not deliver these days.
I can’t help but think of that scene in Grandma’s Boy where JP is working on his game and it just shows a 3D animated model doing a walking animation and literally falling apart like a crash test dummy while he whines “WHY ISN’T THIS WORKING?!”
I feel like the only kid on the block that didn’t have trouble with the water temple.
What ruined my life in OOT was Shigeru trolling and vaguely hinting that the rumors of a triforce you can obtain in the game actually existing so I wasted years looking for it.
