"Rowerzyści, pierwsza velostrada w Katowicach już otwarta! I to dwa miesiące przed zaplanowanym terminem. Zapraszamy na przejażdżkę. To pierwszy tak długi odcinek drogi rowerowej o podwyższonym standardzie w całej Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowskiej Metropolii
Parametry velostrady:
➡️ 4,4 km długości – trasa łączy Brynów z Giszowcem, umożliwiając zjazd na ul. Francuską i do Katowickiego Parku Leśnego.
➡️ Koszt: blisko 12,5 mln zł, inwestycję sfinansowała GZM. Górnośląsko-Zagłębiowska Metropolia.
➡️ 360 nowych drzew – klony i lipy o wysokości powyżej 2,2 m.
➡️ Miejsca odpoczynku – 8 punktów obsługi rowerzystów oraz samoobsługowe stacje napraw.
➡️ Oświetlenie – cała trasa jest doświetlona, co zapewnia bezpieczeństwo po zmroku.
➡️ Licznik rowerowy – zamontowany przy zjeździe na ul. Francuską.
➡️ Dodatkowy chodnik – na odcinku od ul. Kolistej do Francuskiej, idealny dla biegaczy i spacerowiczów.
W planach GZM są m.in.:
➡️ Przedłużenie velostrady w kierunku Mysłowic.
➡️ Nowa velostrada w kierunku Tychów – obie połączone łącznikiem na Giszowcu.
➡️ Łącznie w GZM powstanie aż 120 km velostrad!
Rozwój infrastruktury rowerowej w Katowicach w 2024 roku:
W tym roku w Katowicach oddano ponad 8 km nowych tras rowerowych o łącznej wartości 29 mln zł. Dziś rowerzyści mogą korzystać z ponad 200 km infrastruktury rowerowej w całym mieście."
@Jamoteusz nie mam porownania, nie siedze az tak bardzo w temacie rowerow i nie wiem jak jest w innych miastach Polski, ale... sciezek rowerowych mamy duzo, w tym roku odpalono Rower Metropolitarny (ktory w dodatku - w ograniczonym zakresie ale zawsze - dziala tez zimą), no generalnie jest chyba dobrze :)

#GoodMorning#Gravel! I’ll be damned! It was as cold as at night, about -5°C…🥶 No stops for tea, though, so it was quite pleasant.🥹 I was fully geared up for winter, I’m afraid what’s going to be when the real deal comes…💀
It was cold AF but still worth it! -4°C and high humidity was not the greatest, but a #night ride with a #friend was exactly what I needed. The hot tea was also a nice touch!🥰

@thorcik It’s complicated! Usually, when it’s cold in Poznan it’s also dry and I can live with that. The worst thing is temperatures slightly above 0°C because then it very often gets windy and wet, a combination I truly hate…
Surprisingly, I’ve been recently cycling in rain and it was ok. The clothes really can make the difference…
