Yeah. And also choice not as wide as Steam exactly because of DRM free. Can’t buy monhunt or any of Capcom’s game on GOG. But if you want to play old game then GOG is the place to go, they make sure everything run.
I hate SuperGiant’s naming scheme. Bastion? Transistor? Pyre(i couldn’t even remember this one)?? Hades??? Cmon man, your company isn’t called Giant but SuperGiant, make it stand out as your company’s name!
Also VVVVVV. No one will notice this game if it come out today. Prey(2017) is the prime example of this.
As a long-time Stardew Valley fan, I never thought I’d find a game that could capture my heart quite the same way. Fields of Mistria has done just that. I’m honestly blown away by how good this game is...
Watched the trailer, looks pretty good! Too bad it’s still in early access. There’s a TONS of farming/dating sim coming out and a lot of them looks…okay i think. Hope it get to 1.0.
Today’s game is Zomboid. I’m finding it hard to let go of Dead Money (fully intended). Me and my friend continued the story of Cable and Jerry tonight instead....
The tutorial just there to teach you some basic stuff, you can just drop into a game without completing it, can check wiki for some of the same basic stuff too.

Heard it like years ago and wow, it finally came out. Can still remember the day they trying to remake Action 52 on TIGsource, glad they made an entirely new one, and the review are good too.
Risk of Rain 2 is developed by just 8 people. It’s a game that I don’t regret buying early access because the early access till 1.0 is the smoothest sailing i’ve ever seen for a game. I have a pretty old pc that’s low spec even back then, the game just run smoothly.
And of course a multibillion company is the one messing thing up.
The “truck” has a terrible design, and often is incapable of completing basic tasks a truck is expected to do without great difficulty or some weird quirk.
Activision, Ubisoft, and EA, all multibillion game dev company, said they’ll be using generative AI to make their game, so no, it’s not really obvious. It’s also mentioned in the article
Nintendo’s stance differs from that of other gaming giants. Earlier this year, Ubisoft introduced Project Neural Nexus NEO NPCs, which uses generative AI to simulate in-game conversations and interactions with NPCs.
Similarly, Square Enix President Takashi Kiryu views generative AI as a business opportunity to create new content using cutting-edge technologies. Electronic Arts (EA) has also embraced generative AI, with CEO Andrew Wilson predicting that over half of EA’s development processes will benefit from advancements in generative AI.
The investor probably heard it’s a trendy thing that can make better profit, so they asked nintendo about it in the briefing.
They mentioned IP right, and since Japanese police do arrest and charge people for infringing copyright, and since some artist do recognize their work being smashed together to create something else, they might skip this thing for the foreseeable future just to be on the safe side. They know because they’re the one that send police to arrest people.
I doubt most console or phone does, one workaround is to have a server that process everything then send the result to the client side, be it a generated video, picture, or text, i bet most AI stuff is done this way, they don’t download all the required data and process locally.
Also generative AI doesn’t mean it need to be generated live ingame, it can be dialog script, concept art, all sort of production stuff.
If the studios didn’t get sold to the larger entities, said large entities couldn’t had closed them. Why is no one talking about the topic of game studios being sold out to begin with?...
Making game is extremely risky gamble. Sometime studio can spend years working on one game and it might result in subpar sales due to element that’s not in their control, like Spec Ops: The Line. Take Obsidian Entertainment for example, over the year we kept hearing how they’re financially struggling despite created some of the best RPG, and Microsoft acquisition suppose to free them from this issue to some degree. Same with Tango Gameswork. Zenimax and to some extend Mojang is different case though.
Lot of game studio open and close, if Tango doesn’t sold to Bethesda and in turn to Microsoft, it might already closed. Though on the flip side it also mean they’re at the mercy of their parent company, it still undeniable that Microsoft is the one killed them in this case.
They did said “80 years or so” and “around 80 years”, maybe they did their calculation and predicted that this year is likely the time that it happen. They did give a huge margin of when it will happen though.
Tech company, they love E-Waste. Your thing can still play fine? Fuck you, buy our new shit that have all those privacy invasive tracker loaded into it, and let us snoop around so we can share your info with other tech company.
I love the first one, janky stuff but mostly great, so when i heard this game is being made, i was ecstatic about it until i learned the game is $70 with no localised price, at that moment i’m guessing the greedy capcom is really back, because their game used to be fairly priced up until MHW. And then this happened.

I’m jonesing for these tower defense games. The first edition was released by Robot Entertainment in 2011, Orcs Must Die 2 came out in 2012, OMD Unchained (online multi-player) was from 2014 and OMD 3 was from 2020/2021. They’re all great fun and I am sad that we may never get an OMD 4. Game 1 was single-player, 2 and 3 had...
Ohh, never know there’s omd3, only heard about unchained being f2p and lost interest with the franchise from then on. Might give omd3 a try in the future, omd1/2 is great fun
I recently played Alien Isolation, and I noticed all of the “hacking” she does on doors and computers are different types of games, like press the button at the right time, or match the images within a timer, etc....
I remember spending so much time playing Farkle in Kingdom Come Deliverance, betting my money on every game. I think Witcher 1 or 2 have similar dice game that i also very into it, played with every NPC possible whenever i have the chance.
I like how starting from Fallout 4 you can just loot without opening the loot ui, so you can still see it being empty and open the loot ui and be disappointed it’s empty.
I have no side to take, but it’s sorta hilarious seeing people saying the award mean nothing when it’s starfield that win it, and on the other hand congratulate Baldur’s Gate for winning another GOTY. Truly the Schrodinger Award.
Well tbf as well, innovative is as subjective as game of the year, what seems to be innovative to some might not be one for another. It’s hard to define “innovation” because it’s simply a process of putting in change on an established thing. Try google “innovative product of (year)” and you might see a tons of “isn’t it just x but y” product.
In my case i haven’t played Starfield nor Baldur’s Gate 3 so i wouldn’t know whether they deserve the award or not, if people think it does, hey, more power to them. Steam Award is a popularity contest voted by people anyway, taking it seriously is missing the point.
Personally, apparently 71% of my gaming time was spent on FFXIV. Although in my defense, most games I’ve played this year were on GOG or old free stuff from Epic I finally got around to.
