Age of War. Was also the last browser game I ever played. Yes it’s old.

diep.io and only domination. Stopped going when they put that game mode on some stupid rotation.

They put KOTOR 2 but they didn't try Kreia??

When I was in school it was all about Neopets and Adventure Quest.

lemmyvore, w Commandos: Origins | Announcement Trailer (US)

Only like 3 seconds worth of actual gameplay footage, the rest is cinematics.

PenguinTD,

I loved the old ones, I hope this is good enough for today.

hydrashok, w Telltale laid most of it's staff in September

Guess I better review the library before they get delisted in Steam.

conciselyverbose, w Sony Pictures Core, formerly Bravia Core, launches on PS5 and PS4 consoles; exclusive benefits including early access to select Sony Pictures films

If you’re a PlayStation Plus Premium/Deluxe member, you’ll get access to a curated catalog of up to 100 movies***** through the Sony Pictures Core app to stream on demand from the Sony Pictures library as part of your membership. The catalog, which will be ad-free and updated periodically, features movies such as Looper, Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, Elysium, and Resident Evil Damnation.** There will also be additional benefits for all PlayStation Plus members, so stay tuned for more details.

Still not worth the price increases, but I could see that being a meaningful value add to some.

Man I miss the Flash era.

I spent a ton of time in Kingdom of Loathing. I kept an old laptop that still had a flash enabled browser for a few months to play Bloons Tower Defense 4.

There was this game, I forget the name of it, but you had to build and drive little vehicles to overcome challenges. It was technically amazing for a Flash game, and I’d love to have it back.

lud,

Check out flashpointarchive.org for all the flashpoint games you could ever want.

Afrazzle,

The second one sounds like Incredibots!!

wombatula,

If you want you can play all the Bloons games up to 5 with this!

li10, w Cyberpunk patch 2.01 now available

Anyone got a suggestion for mouse and keyboard cutting out intermittently?

It’s a cyberpunk specific issue that lots of people have had, but none of the fixes I found worked :/

It’s actually driving me insane. Ruins most combat encounters and means that I’ll randomly mow people down while trying to drive round a corner…

Klystron,

That’s a shitty one, haven’t heard of that. Both kb+m die? At the same time? Only for cyberpunk? How long does it last?

Yes, Kittens Game! If you want to increase your enjoyment even more, use a simple line of javascript to increase the game speed:

mindbleach, w How does the upcoming Playdate game "Diora" accomplish its beautiful, high-performance 3D visuals?

Jitter when the camera slides left and right means he should keep it in one spot and offset the screen. I.e., don’t move the camera - move the graphics. Have some X/Y value that gets added to all block positions, that frame. Then any visible gaps between tiles would at least stay put.

The artistic solution to those gaps is to make hidden faces the same color as the top face. Anywhere a cube touches a cube, the sides that meet should not be shaded.

The artistic non-solution is to give each top face an outline so that all looks like a deliberate grid. Like the surface is tiled the way a kitchen is tiled.

An artistic abuse is that blocks could be oriented freely. Any 1x1 pillar of cubes can be stacked funny. Especially if the engine makes non-grid-aligned tiles cheap. Then you could do a ziggurat where every level spirals upward. Admittedly, that would make collision a pain. Even player movement seems to be gridded.

For me this is a hard toss up between Pizza King too and the Submachine series, the Submachine series is an amazing escape/puzzle style series that has a really good story

and Pizza King 2 is the best management style Pizzeria Simulator game that I have found to date, many of those management style games focus more on the cooking aspect than the management aspect but this one takes the cake with being an actual management Sim instead of a cooking

Mononon, w Game Maker's Toolkit: The World Design of Banjo-Kazooie

One day I need to get around to trying Banjo Tooie. I’ve always wanted to at least give it a shot. I finished Yooka Layler, so surely it can’t be that bad.

smeg,

It’s really good. Pretty laggy if you’re playing on original hardware though!
