Chyba najbardziej intensive dzieło Reicha, wpisujące się w nurt amerykańskiej sztuki sztuki inspirowanej losem europejskich Żydów. Bardzo polecam. Warto wklejać opisy!
“The concept for the piece came from my childhood. When I was one year old, my parents separated. My mother moved to Los Angeles and my father stayed in New York. Since they arranged divided custody, I traveled back and forth by train frequently between New York and Los Angeles from 1939 to 1942 accompanied by my governess. While the trips were exciting and romantic at the time, I now look back and think that, if I had been in Europe during this period, as a Jew I would have had to ride very different trains. With this in mind I wanted to make a piece that would accurately reflect the whole situation.”
At first glance this looks really cool. Strong Witcher vibes. You could tell it’s the same director even without having out called out in the trailer. I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
Square was really scraping the barrel for this one. “Good graphics, that you can change!”
Changing how many NPCs could be nice, and I’m probably gonna need DLSS for upscaling. AMD and Intel users might have to wait for a mod, since there was no mention of FSR or XeSS.
Well you do have to give it to him, three graphics options (low/med/high) is more than the two graphic options (low/high) that came in the previous game.
I’m pretty sure people have, in this age of “let’s play” videos. You can see the gameplay play out in real time instead of listening to a brief, curated summary.
Ok new heroes, yeah, cool, but an option for crossplay in competitive would be even better 🙏 My competitive rank is low because I can’t party up with my friends and has absolutely nothing to do with my own skill ^trust^
I don’t know, console users playing with PC would break the ranked system. Controllers are at a huge disadvantage and I can easily see people blaming console users on their team for losing.
Also why is this post getting so many downvotes?
Because it’s 2025 and Lemmy users still use the downvote button as a disagree button. It’s so predictable, any post I make about live service games gets instantly downvoted.
They could easily put a toggle on so people can choose to enable cross play, off by default. If console folks want to subject themselves to people using mice, that’s their own fault, and nobody who didn’t want to would need to play with them.
There might be other reasons for the delay that are more contractual in nature to get sorted out.
I get it, people have understandable reasons for why they personally wouldn’t want crossplay in competitive. All I’m asking for is the option to enable it. I’m on PC and almost all of my friends are on console so we always have to play casual. The wild swings in opponent skill level get really annoying sometimes. Solo queuing in this game is exceptionally awful because voice chat is disabled by default, which makes no sense for a game that requires teamwork
And yeah, the blanket live service hate gets pretty annoying. Like this is a great game with purely cosmetic microtransactions that can be easily ignored
Someone mentioned Neural Radiance Caching to me recently, which Nvidia's been working on for a while. They presented about it at an event in 2023 (disclaimer: account-gated and I haven't watched - but a 6-minute "teaser" is available: YouTube).
I don't really understand how it works after having skimmed through some stuff about it, but it sounds like it could be one of several ways to improve this specific problem?
It’s at least used in RTX Global Illumination as far as the nvidia site mentions it, and I heard rumors about Cyberpunk getting it, but unsure if it’s used in current tech or not. I think I heard mentions of it in some graphics review of a game.
Yeah I'm also confused about its current state / status in currently-released games. It looks like a significant enough of a feature that I would naively assume that if it was implemented in a currently-released game that the devs would boast about it, so I guess it's not there yet?
I gotta say, the SteamDeck has been a weird journey. I’m playing a lot more high graphics titles now that I can just quickly check for a ‘SteamDeck Verified’ badge.
On the one hand, mine is a first generation portable, so there’s a lot of games it is never going to run.
On the other, it keeps surprising me what gets ported to it.
It’s surprisingly capable hardware. Doom External was running at solid 60FPS on medium or high settings (can’t remember) for me. Sure, it’s a very well optimised game, but it’s a real looker too.
Maybe! There’s much bigger spaces in this one, more assets to load etc. Recommended specs are an RTX 2060 for 1080p 30fps low settings. I would say the steam deck sits around there?
it only took how long? did a non remastered part 1 make it to pc or was that also remaster only on pc? I played the part 1 on console but not part 2, should I replay 1 before 2? Is there much you are expected to remember?
