On PC, HZD is a privacy nightmare with no option to turn off data collection - you either comply to full data collection, or “limited”, whatever that means.
Content data: Video, audio, graphic, text, game level, account information, ad and other content that is requested and downloaded for the features, games, apps and websites you access online.
Network data: Network connections, IP address, requirements and speed of the connections."
Why the hell does HZD, a single player offline video game, need that data for?
Also:
Security data: Information necessary to detect and investigate malicious, unauthorized or fraudulent activity.
Legal data: Information required by applicable law and to demonstrate compliance.
Yikes.
I would have no problem with that if they allowed me to turn data collection off. But that’s just not possible, and you can only ask them nicely to only gather “limited data collection”, without any kind of information about what “limited” and “full” really mean.
In a couple of generations when path tracing with reasonable levels of performance is available on mid-range cards (eg. equivalent of 4070) I might consider Nvidia. Until then team red for me
SBMM has the fatal flaw of expecting players to want to constantly improve with every match. Sometimes we want to play to relax, but that’s never on its mind.
The assisted reload was also in the first game (notably for the recoilless rifle also featured here) and requires a great deal of coordination. A great co-op mechanic with high rewards when playing it right.
Those look good but I have to say I’ve been spoiled by Resident Evil’s remasters, the comparison is a bit painful in terms of effort. But I guess there’s only so much you can do with the Switch’s hardware, it’s not like it’s that more powerful than a Playstation 1 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I’ve only seen the first movie twice and not the second. When I went to Disney World a few years ago, I loved Pandora. The Flight of Passage ride was amazing. I had an emotional experience on it. You’re riding your banshee and then it comes to a stop and you feel it breathing against your legs. I suspended my disbelief for a second and teared up at that experience.
I may pick this game up, but the Ubisoft part has me worried. I’ll wait until after launch, but if the world is like that ride, I think I’ll have a pretty good time.
